Little Bear has the best ice cream! So many choices. This is a must stop if you are visiting Thompson Falls

After asking the motel manager for a restaurant in Thompson Falls, she referred me to Little Bear. The meal was not awful just mediocre. If you are tired and hungry after hiking all day, the meal will serve its purpose. Menu is typical: hamburger, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, etc.

They start with either chocolate or vanilla ice cream and blend in a variety of additions to achieve the flavors. The New York cheesecake was great. This is not a fast place. Each order takes a while to make, and only one person is doing the work. We waited around 15 minutes for our order, but it was worth it!

The food here is great, lovingly prepared. We ordered sandwiches (awesome grilled cheese!) and were surprised by the large fruit plate that came with it. The portions are large so we did not have room for the "infinite flavors of ice cream" that were offered... another time. From the outside, you would not expect this place to be so good...... More

Very small shop, so service is extremely slow. Lately seems to be closed more than it is open. Picnic benches outside to sit and enjoy your treat. Some of the best ice cream I've ever tasted. Be sure you bring you dog, they make a puppy cup that is out of this world!

Small place for seating and eating. The service is slow but the food is great. The ice cream is to die for...........You can make your own. Servings are large, so bring your appetite or a friend.

Ice Cream is good but Service is super slow and not the cleanest place either. Owner is sick so it's not always open.

There is a sign on the door, stating this is not a fast food restaurant, and if you are in a hurry, turn around, and go someplace else. The food is great, and more than enough! you get a fresh fruit plate, that is delicious, with each order. If you order soup and a sandwich, you get the soup, and... More

Little bear is a lovely restaurant and ice cream shop. The portions are very large and all the food/ice cream appears to be home made. My kids could not get enough of their ice cream

Deb always treats you right. I love eating here whenever I'm in town. This last visit I ordered the fruit plate. What a treat! Plum, cantaloupe, strawberries, huckleberries, honey dew, pineapple, mango, peach, nectarine and avocado. All arranged in a very attractive way. Wow! She always does it up really special. If you order a sandwich you are really in... More
