To be fair everyone I know who currently lives in Butte warned me that this establishment served bad food. I just had to try it because I'm a geek for history. A restaurant with curtains so that decent white folks can't see the Chinese serving the food in a town where it wasn't safe for the Chinese to be seen... More

Ordered $60 in food for our family picked it up and brought it home. One of our entrée was missing its side of rice, the other was missing is noodles in its entrée, barbecued pork and seeds with mustard came without seeds and mustard, and ect....needless to say we couldn't feed our family after all! So when we called they... More

I've lived in Butte my whole life and have been coming here about that long as well (20 years) and I can tell you now that this place has gone down hill. It was definitely once my favorite place, not so much anymore. The food has gone from amazing to just average and the service there is now TERRIBLE! It's... More

This is one of Butte's most historical landmarks. Historic building, owner, food, and atmosphere. once you visit you will come back.

You must visit this place for a unique dining experience. Each table sits in its own room with a curtain pulled for privacy. The service was slow, but the food was very good. They made their eggs rolls from scratch, best I've ever tasted. The meals were good too, and yes the meat was sliced lunch meat, but the veggies... More

I have fond memories as a student at Montana Tech, taking my books and having dinner at Pekin while studying for tests - after 25 years or so I finally had the chance to return - as good as ever - Long Live Pekin!

After learning more about Chnese cooking, we were fascinated to check out the oldest Chinese restaurant in America...after reading reviews, our expectations were low. The novelty and history of the building were interesting, but the food was anything but Chinese. Lots of processed foods (canned mushrooms in the soup and all of the chicken was Lunchmeat) made this an extremely... More

On the recommendation of a Butte native, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant. Located in an old part of town, parking was on the street. Access to the restaurant was up a long flight of stairs. We we seated in a booth behind red curtains. The decor was out of the 1950s or before. All booths were... More

My husband has been coming to the Pekin for most of his life. This last time the meat was of such poor quality I can't even recommend this place for the historical novelty. Eat at your own risk.
