Creative coffee creations with award winning espresso. We stopped in after lunch near by and enjoyed a nice coffee cocktail (sans alcohol). The cold fashioned was a creative spin on the old fashioned whiskey cocktail.

St Louis has so many great coffee shops! Sump is one of them. I was hoping to get an Affogato but they were out of ice cream so the barista suggested a coffee drink made with chocolate milk and espresso. It was amazing.
When asking locals where to go for good coffee, this was one of the first places mentioned and it did not disappoint. If you are someone who enjoys a little bit of coffee with your sugar and multiple flavor pumps this is NOT the place...More
Went here on a Saturday morning, early, to enjoy the lovely day and what a surprise! Chai tea and pour-over coffee for my company was outstanding. Foam was piled mile high on my chai. Counter staff very amiable and inviting. Noise level was fine and...More
This quaint spot on South Jefferson is well worth the short travel. The men and women at Sump treat coffee like fine wine. As a coffee freak I try to find as many local coffee shops as possible and Sump is the cream of the...More

Like going to the worst part of south Chicago to get a cup of coffee - not worth the trouble. Sporadic street parking at best, I was more concerned about my car getting broken into than I was about enjoying my cup of joe. The...More
I love it! If I could, this would totally conclude my review. Sump Coffee is just what I like; intimate, excellent coffee, with minimal yet dramatically chic décor. The A.B.E. (all black everything) effect speaks volume without saying a solitary word. Black walls (white stenciling),...More
Awesome Coffee bar, the coffee itself was great, smooth tasting but the way it was fresh brewed, somehow they managed to cut out the acidic taste or bitterness you get. I would highly recommend try this place for coffee once, the staff is helpful and...More
