I have trouble not finding fault with restaurants. Usually the food is horribly overpriced and unmemorable. But I had dinner last night in this little place on Delmar Boulevard, in University City, Mo and I am ready to return tonight. It resembles an olde general...More

I loved this place. The atmosphere, the food, and story. It's all great! It's in an old house and feels like you're stepping back in time. The food is unique and very delicious. It's all farm to table, so you know you're getting good stuff...More

You can always tell when fresh ingredients are used! I love the different flavors they fuse together. The sandwiches and salads are a must to try.

Brunch is set up such that you order your food at the counter, in front of all the temptingly delicious case of various pastries. One you place your order you are given a number and then you find an open place to sit (one that...More

Had dinner and we enjoyed ourselves. Limited menu because they are farm to table. My wife had the mushroom grits and I had the burger we both were pleased with our meal. Awesome bakery and coffee bar. Outside seating is available. We hear it is...More

My wife & I have driven past Winslow's Home several times a year since it opened almost 10 years ago, yet we never noticed it until a coworker suggested it to us for a summer weekend lunch stop. Winslow's is on a largely residential neighborhood...More

The wait here during lunch was unacceptable. Only one register open during lunch rush and having other staff just sitting around is ridiculous. The food is pretty good but they don't change the menu enough. Why have the same menu for years instead of adding...More

Krista, Thank you for the valuable feedback. Im sorry that your experience was not good. Its true the wait can be longer than other places, due in part to the fact that we are small, and each dish is made to order. There is only...More

My smoked trout on brioche was delicious! And companions' eggs were tasty. But another companion's breakfast burrito was dry and tasteless. Still, I admire their commitment to fresh food cooked to order. The long lines, significant wait, and overall loudness could be attributed to the...More

We love going here. The food is always so fresh tasting and done to order. I had a beef sandwich with horseradish sauce that was truly fantastic. Don't think I ever ordered anything bad here. The staff is always helpful.

Winslow's Home is a decidedly relaxed atmosphere that serves some seriously great things. We are at once a cafe, espresso bar, bakery and private events space set in the middle of a contemporary general store. While breakfast and lunch orders are taken at the counter and then delivered to your table, dinner offers our guests the opportunity to unwind a bit through the transition to table service after 5pm. The relaxed and warm setting offer interior and seasonal patio options and our loyal customers are as diverse as our menu. We are located in the vibrant historic neighborhood of University City Missouri, an inner suburb of St Louis. Centrally located, we are roughly 3 blocks from Washington University, 4 blocks from downtown Clayton, 7 miles from the arch and the Mississippi River and 12 miles from the airport. Winslow's Home owns and operates a working farm in Augusta Mo. 35 miles from Winslows Home. Here we grow seasonal produce herbs, fruit and flowers using organic and biodynamic methods. This allows our team of chefs to craft some of the best fresh scratch cooking in the region. Deliveries from farm to fork happen 2-3 times a week, 10-11 months a year. The farm also hosts private events. Awards in the recent past by regional and national press include continued inclusion in "best of" lists, best artisan food shop, best breakfast, best carry out, best chocolate chip cookie, best farm to table restaurant, best grass fed beef burger, best cafe, best place to bring out of towners and best sandwich. Winslows Cellar is our events space. entering through Winslows Home, the Cellar is a secret jewel that offers our private dining guests an elevated Winslows experience. The space is an intimate, mahogany paneled room featuring private restrooms, original artwork, and oriental rugs. Seating 36, the Cellar features a lounge area, full bar, presentation and sound systems. This unique space is an ideal setting for private celebrations and business meetings alike. Menus are all individually customized by our team of professionals.
