Do not pass up a visit to Hard Work U! This is a beautiful lodge with quaint shops for goods produced by the students, a wonderful restaurant, and a picturesque campus. We really enjoyed talking to the students and we were impressed with their skills as well as as the quality of everything we tried. We had a delicious lunch; my husband had a cheeseburger and I had a chicken sandwich which doesn’t really describe how beautifully they were presented or how much more than you average sandwich would be, we shared a bowl of the soup of the day, kind of an asian pork vegetable soup, tried the apple butter and biscuits, and had chocolate cobbler for dessert. Price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. Needless to say that carried up past dinner time! Spending time here gives me hope for the youth of America and I wish we could have a program such as this back home. Be sure to include the Keeter Center when you visit the Branson area, it is well worth it!

We made reservations for Saturday night the last Saturday in Feb. This is one our favorite places when we are in Branson for lunch or dinner. The service and food is always outstanding. This time I ordered a steak Med. Rare and it came out well done. Everyone went into immediate action to correct this error. My husband's meal was fine but we didn't get to eat together because his would have been cold by the time my steak was re-done. Now having said the waiter done everything he could to minimize the gap offered me soup while I waited and notified the dining room manager who immediately came to the table. It took about 8 to o minutes before my steak was ready. This time it was cooked perfect. They insisted on taking the steak off our bill. No matter what you can always count on this place for great food and service and on the weekend in the evenings it has a nice atmosphere for dining. I have never been disappointed by the service or food.

Stopped by on a Tuesday evening at 5pm without reservations (didn't realize they were necessary). They were full (said reservations fill about 2 weeks in advance) but would do their best to fit us in (party of 2). After 45 minutes, we were seated.
Students are all still wearing masks and someone at front door asking/screening health questions (all positive in my book).
Dining room is beautiful and the tables spaced apart with a student playing piano throughout dinner service.
Menu included salads, sandwiches and full entrees. No alcohol is served on campus. We chose the Cajun pork chop ($18) and steak ($22) entrees. Both included potatoes and green beans along with their complimentary biscuits and rolls. Food was excellent. Too full to try dessert (:. Student server was attentive but not intrusive.
First time we've eaten inside an restaurant in over a year and well worth the wait.

I have never been so impressed by a restaurant because of the amazing story of the College of the Ozarks and how almost everything served is grown and produced on the premises. The food was all absolutely delicious and the wait staff was so attentive and kind and patient with all of our questions about the food and the college. We will definitely staff on campus at the lodge and eat most of our meals there when we return to Branson.

The experience, food and ambiance, was comparable to NOLA’s Commanders Palace!! Surrounded by well-trained, self confident, intense, respectful, and proud young staff intent on creating and delivering perfection with service and food. The pride showed in food quality and presentation (of food, utensils, servers, etc) and cleanliness. Could have eaten off of the floor in the most remote corner. Ambiance? The ornate and perfect copper ceiling tiles stamped and installed by students. The massive, and many, breath taking pine tree logs used in the buildings construction. The view of the valley from our table. The smooth fresh cream from their dairy farm that took me back 60 years. Our 5 and 7 year old grandchildren were treated just as specially as the four adults. The entire experience, from entry to departure, was so smooth that a less discerning person could easily miss the thought, effort, training and time invested, and evident, towards perfection.

Dobyn's is one of the reasons we travel to Branson. It is absolutely wonderful. The interior is so beautiful and decorated so nicely. The wait staff, all students, are dressed professionally and their demeanor is professional and cordial. The details are all to of the line. Our food arrived and was as L visually appealing as it was delicious. It is reasonably prices for the quality of food served. We were amazed at the entire experience - first class. We purchased desserts, apple butter and dressings to take home - all made by the College of the Ozarks. The top dining experience of the week we spent in Branson.

Best restaurant in Branson! My wife & I had been told that The Keeter Center, at the college of the Ozarks was a very good place to eat (especially the Sunday brunches). However, until this past week, it just never seemed to quite work out for us to go there. We had tried a few times, but our window for getting a reservation was always quite short and they were booked. You can “walk-in” and you will likely get seated, but you may wait as much as 2 hours. There’s nothing “snooty” going on - just a strong demand for very good food, delightful service, & a nice atmosphere.
Five of us dined this past Tuesday. We had a reservation for 7:15. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated quickly. Nearly all of the staff are students at the college who work their way through the college by working at the college. They graduate with NO college debt! The college offers very nice hotel and dining accommodations, which provide invaluable experience to the students who choose to work in hotel and restaurant management.
Our server was a young lady named Riley. She was courteous, professional, and very pleasant to deal with. We shared 2 appetizers for the table: fried green tomatoes & a charcuterie plate. Both were absolutely delicious. Wherever possible, the chef uses locally (on site) grown produce and related food products. Following the appetizers, we were served baskets of freshly baked cranberry biscuits and molasses cinnamon dinner rolls with whipped butter, whipped strawberry butter, and the best apple butter I’ve ever tasted.
Two of us ordered French onion soup (daily offering); and two ordered chef’s special soup - creamed vegetable and beef soup. Both were well prepared and delicious!
We ordered a variety of entrees including meatloaf mignon, chicken alfredo, ribeye steak, Cobb salad, and chicken fried chicken. The portions were good and the sides were all well prepared and presented.
They have a dessert menu, but we were all too full to try anything else.
The tab came out to about $30/person, which seemed quite reasonable for an upscale dining experience. I have paid considerably more, but I have rarely enjoyed it more!
I certainly intend to return, and I highly recommend you give this place a try.

This beautiful restaurant is located at the College of the Ozarks where students work for their tuition. It is staffed by students who are training to work in the food service industry and do a wonderful job of serving and cooking and most of the food is farm to table since the school has gardens, cattle, pigs, and chickens. The restaurant is beautiful with a huge fireplace and a breathtaking view. The food is delicious with a large menu. During prime season in Branson which is every season except mid-winter it's best to make reservations online or by phone. They also have tours of the college which are free and very interesting.

The Keeter Center itself is worth the visit and also enjoy the dinner or lunch while there. There is a self guided museum tour sharing support for the military from the area. The restaurant is part of the Hotel and Tourism Management experience and is student led. The food is excellent with just the right portion size. We enjoy the experience everytime we travel to Branson. For fruit cake lovers, they make their own fruitcakes that one can purchase and the fruitcakes are excellent.

The students and instructors work so hard to provide their guests with tasty food, top notch service, and an overall impressive experience. Dining in the restaurant is always a favorite, but sometimes we just have to go get their yummy ice cream made in their very own creamery for a treat. The school has so many things to see. You won't be disappointed!

We have dined at the Dobyns Dining Room several times for lunch and dinner. The food, service, staff, and amenities are outstanding. We always enjoy talking with the student waiters who do an excellent job. The food is fresh and prepared well, such as the pot roast which us very tender and flavorful. The pork tenderloin was prepared with a lot of taste and cooked properly. The desserts are delicious. The facility is top-notch. We will be returning.

What a pleasure to enjoy lunch at the Keeter Center at the College of the Ozarks. Being served by the student staff with other students preparing the tasty entrees was truly a blessing. No trip to Branson, MO should miss this experience.

We absolutely love going to Dobyn’s Dining Room for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Excellent service and presentation & taste of food. By far the best restaurant in the Branson area. Learn about the college and how students work on campus so their tuition is paid. We love the variety from salmon, pork & beef entrees. I have had the grilled salmon as an entree or salad ( one salad comes with sweet potatoes) my favorite. Desserts & ice cream are made in house, all are excellent. Sunday buffet is huge. Worth the cost. My favorites all the fresh berries, custom omelets, salads, potatoes, green beans, ham, desserts & ice cream is included. Someone also played the piano. Elegant surroundings & presentation.

Dining at the Keeter Center is a great experience. Almost all the service, prep, cooking, and growing and processing of the food for the meal is done by students at the college. This has been my second time at the restaurant and again, the meal was wonderful!

Ordered curbside dinner from the curbside; resasonable wait, extremely helpful staff stationed at the curb answered questions and made recommendations. Excellent food, I had the meatloaf filet and wife had the trout cakes - both were wonderful. Decent price point and was neatly boxed for take home.
Highly recommend!,
