We almost missed the town entirely but were so glad we spotted the "Historic Downtown" sign. We arrived around lunch time and thought we would try a sandwich or something in the bakery. The owner directed us to the adjacent wine bar where we had a fantastic lunch interspersed with engaging conversation with the owner and artist husband. The wraps... More

Wine-loving friends and I met here for the wine-tasting, but part of the attraction (online) was the fact we could enjoy lunch with our wine! We enjoyed the wine-tasting first (see separate review under Eagle's Nest Winery), then purchased a bottle of one of the wines to enjoy with our lunch. Friends both selected a turkey wrap; I was pulled... More

We had a nice wine tasting and then stayed for lunch. Pretty great and not too expensive. The people are so pleasant!

Recommended by the lady at the antique store, was a nice surprise. Nice atmosphere in the wine room where we sat. Cool and clean. Food was simple, delicious and priced reasonable. Yummy bakery items and very pleasant staff just add more reasons to stop by if you are in the area.

Sometimes something simple and excellent is better than fancy and mediocre. That's the best way to describe the Eagles Nest. A little pricey, but not outrageous. A pleasant breakfast.

It's a little bakery/restaurant, and the Food is mighty tasty! Went there for lunch with co-workers, and loved it. Will definitely go back with the wife.

Josephine's Bakery is part of The Eagle's Nest which does accommodation and has a winery. Located in the historic part of town on Georgia Street it is in the style of a European bakery. I ordered a wrap to go and also bought a few cranberry oatmeal cookies. Not cheap, but all delicious, home made and with fresh, real ingredients.... More

Stopped in for lunch on a trip through Louisiana, Mo. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu and our meals were quite tasty.

The management is not very friendly and the food is expensive. The place is decorated very nicely but that is the only positive remark that I can think of.

This is a cool place. Man, they got it right...but for the food. I had biscuits and gravy there...and coffee. Man, it was bad. Sorry, but it was. They could at least get the coffee right, but nope. Come on, folks. Get it right. This would be a GO-TO kinda place!
