Johnny rays has an old time feel with a galaga/space invaders machine, and a juke box. The main and pa feel make u want to keep coming back. The steak burgers are good and the French fries are plentiful.

Johnny Ray's is a classic in Lee's Summit, Mo., and has been there for years. I had a double cheeseburger, mushrooms, and my wife had a single cheeseburger. The total cost was over $14.00 which I thought was a little steep. We both had water and they charge you a dime a piece for a cup! I think that it... More

This place reminds me of the places I would eat at when I was little. They have great food at a reasonable price. Besides hamburgers and other sandwiches, they have mushroom, onion rings, fries, and fried okra. they are all very good. The atmosphere is friendly and the people are very helpful. I like going there whenever I'm in Lee's... More

This place is great. The food is made to order so it's not for people in a hurry, but still quick. Good burgers and fries (spicy fries are a favorite). The best milkshake I've ever had.

an historical fixture in the Lee's Summit area, it should be put on the registry. Bye Bye American pie... If you want to know what it was like in the 50's Johnny is the spot, great Chile and burgers..

Johnny Ray's Drive-In, on the north side of Highway 50 between the 291 South exit and the 3rd Street exit in Lee's Summit, MO, is your basic 1950s drive-in. Basic fare consists of burgers, fries, onion rings, and milk shakes. All very good, and hasn't changed much in the last 50 years. They still have a 'cruise night' about every... More

This is a Lee's Summit staple. Awesome burgers and bowling ally type of food. Awesome shakes, and malts. The wait staff are super friendly to kids, which is a bonus.
