We stopped there in our travels for dinner on 12/11/2022. There were maybe six tables with people so not busy. We waited about a minute to be seated. Like most good sit-down Mexican restaurants, a bowl of chips and a container of salsa with two...small bowls were brought to our table right away. We then ordered our drinks. Only a few minutes later and the drinks were brought to our table. We then ordered dinner. Less than ten minutes later and the food arrived. Again, like most sit-down Mexican restaurants, there was plenty of food. The food was hot and delicious! The waiter took very good care of us and when he saw the drinks were low, he asked if we wanted refills - which we did. Staff was very friendly and polite. The restaurant was very clean. The food was very good. And the prices for everything were reasonable. We had to have been thanked about five times as we were leaving, by five different staff members. Would we eat there again? Absolutely! We highly recommend this restaurant.More

Really tasty, good quality food at a good price

My father and I had a late lunch here. We both ordered from the house specials section and were very pleased. Food came out quickly and was hot, fresh, and delicious. Overall, we had a really great experience.

Opinion of a local

Not the best mexican food in Lebanon and the portions were less than what you would find at other nearby mexican restaurants. However the place was clean and friendly. Good, fast service. Prices average $15 per meal for dinner with beverages.

Great food

My husband and I ate here actually twice while we were here. Food was very good. Chicken fahita was excellent!! My husband got a big steak burrito and he said it was excellent. Would highly recommend eating here.

Surprisingly good

Not many good places to eat in Lebanon, Mo., but we did enjoy El Sombrero. Took my Husband there for his Birthday and had a great meal. We will be going back soon and often.

Excellent

We visited on a Sunday afternoon around 1.30PM. We were seated very quickly, the restaurant was about 1/3 full. Service was quick and attentive, the food came reasonably quickly considering that this is not a fast food place. The food was hot and overall excellent,...also more than adequate with regard to quantity.More

Nice night out

The food and service was very good. I would recommend ordering the Mercedes. A full one if you are really hungry and a half if you’re not!

Taco Tuesdays

If you want good mexican taco's this is the place. On Taco Tuesdays you get their taco's for $1,25 each which is worth the money. They are usually $2,25 which too high for me since they are pretty small. They are crunchy and really tasty...and their mild sauce it great.More

Very disappointed

Went for lunch last week and both husband and I were very disappointed. Server seemed like she didn't care, and food was very bland. I've been here before and thought the food was good. but something seems to have changed. Won't be in a hurry...to visit any time soon.More

Decent Mexican Food

Been a while since I’ve been there so decided to try it again.. tacos, enchiladas,burritos,salsa,beans..were all decent.. not anything special but.. out of all the Mexican places in Lebanon, El Sombrero seems the cleanest.. which is important to me.. plenty of parking.. easy to reach...from I-44...More

Good food at decent prices!

This is my go to place when I'm looking for Mexican food. The food is always consistent and they give you large amounts of food.

Used to be better

When we first starting going there, we thought it was very good, but recently, the service, food quality and employee attitude have all seemed to decline. We don't go there any more.

Good Mexican food.

They have some good Mexican food, service is good. I love the carnitas. Their menu has a good variety. I only gave it a 3 because I like other Mexican restaurants better.

Fast service, quality food

This is fast service, no frills but good food. QUESO is a big deal for us and theirs is exceptional - white cheese with butter/flour base. chicken enchiladas did NOT use processed chicken and portions are large. would come again.

Good Mexican

El Sombrero is the "go to" for Mexican for people in Lebanon. Basic Mexican plates, great white cheese sauce & pico. Great service consistently, moderate prices.
