Had an interesting meal of their brots. Michigan brown ale had interesting taste. Assorted appetizers, again interesting, a bit quirky.

I am torn between 3 and 4 out of five for our experience last night. We entered at 6:00 for happy hour. The four of us were headed to the bar, after telling the host. We sat at a half-round table, it was a little...More
Stopped in because of the name. I am usually skeptical about German restaurants (How can their Spätzle be as good as my mother's?) but was intrigued by the name, "Affäre. Modern German Cuisine" and took a chance. The food was an excellent offering of both...More
Danke Mr. Lawson I am glad to pass the Spätzle test! 😀 Thank you

Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate this very much. Looking forward to seeing you again!
Was disappointed with the menu. Did not have many German dishes which I was looking for. The food is good. The desserts were very good. Service was adequate
Affare features traditional German cuisine revisited for contemporary tastes with the addition of some other influences such as lobster rolls and lobster bisque. Well designed interior with well trained and charming staff. Very reasonably priced. They make one of the best radlers that I have...More
Gorgeous restaurant, great service, and the food was absolutely perfect. Each plate I had seemed better than the last. We happened to dine during "Lobster Fest" which runs June-July. I started with the Beet Salad which had a great balsamic dressing, creme fraiche and candied...More
Thank you for your kind review, we hope to see you again at Affare. Chef Martin
Some friends and I went to Affare on a Saturday evening before the symphony. (The trolley to Kauffman Center is only a short walk up the hill from Affare.) Since it was Happy Hour, I got a double pour of the house white wine for...More
