The atmosphere was nice under a giant palapa with a wooden floor and views of the beach. The recommendation was to order steak. Not being extremely hungry, I did not take the waiters advise to order the large grilled Angus cut, so instead, I ordered a smaller cut which was served a little over cooked, but tasty. It was a... Had a great time here on a Wednesday night, local band performing oldies, great drinks, great atmosphere, they have a plate of different grilled meats that any carnivore would just about die for. They also release baby turtles into the surf just before dark, very kool Will be stopping in again on our next trip to Troncones

I've been to many restaurants in Troncones, Zihuatanejo and Roberto's clearly has the best steaks. Find a night when music is playing, enjoy a filet (either 6 oz or 16 oz) and the baked potato with grilled veggies and you will say what took me so long. It comes on a sizzling plate...get it with the chimichurri sauce. Perfecto!!

Have been coming to Troncones for vacation the last five years. Have always (really) enjoyed Roberto's vacio cut of beef. Maybe one of the best I've ever had. However, this trip I have had the vacio (large one, my wife and I split) twice and both times they were very disappointing. I honestly don't even think it was a true... More

I always go to Roberto's for a steak.. always excellent! Great service and nice for sunsets. Good entertainment on Wednesday and Saturday. Very reasonable prices. I like my meals hot and at Roberto's you need to let it cool a bit before digging in! Your steak, baked potato and veggies arrives on a sizzling platter!

Stopped by a few times for dinner, once on Wednesday nite for the Rock n' Roll music, was pretty full. The music was good, and not too loud, you could speak with folks at our table and still hear each other, and they took a break after about 20-25 minutes of playing. The have the best steaks in town, they... More

I've hosted a yoga and writing retreat in Troncones every January for three years. The baby sea turtle release and conservation program at Roberto's Restaurant was always well done during the past 2 years. Young people worked at the project, explained to visitors about their turtle conservation project, were very careful handling the turtles, didn't let people man-handle the turtles... More

We've visited the area before but this time took friends! Last visit we noted smelly trash at the street side entrance & a rotting fish smell from what appeared to be a dead Sea turtle carcass! The waiters happily moved us and alerted the manager (Roberto) to this. He came to our table & after telling him he was upset... More

Roberto's Bistro was a nice little restaurant in the community of Troncones. They do a lot of great work in the community, including turtle releases. Overall, the food was good, but VERY overpriced for what you got. They do a cool annual fundraiser for the local children, which was very well attended.
