Six amigos went to Captain Cook for lunch. We all enjoyed our menu selections. I had the tortilla soup. Not the best I have had but decent.

We are regulars here when we are in Sayulita. Get to know the servers, and like anywhere else, it will enhance your experience. Juan and Julio are our favorite staff there. Juan goes over and above on customer service, every time. He is the main reason we return each visit. We got to know Julio this visit, and I looked... More

Good location right on the beach. Average prices. Some service slow, depending which waiter you got to serve you. A problem with vendors coming in pestering you to buy something. They should be barred. Good snacks & salsa.

We stopped here two weeks ago and had lunch. Meet up with friends for drinks. I ordered a pizza and the wife had the fish tacos. Both were great but have to say the service was very slow. It was very empty when we were there! Only 1 other table. But what a great view....

We were down on vacation for two weeks and visited this restaurant during a day trip to the area. Unfortunately this was not a good decision on our part. Please keep in mind that we are not fancy individuals and we love to adventure and try new things! We stopped here on our trek down the beach for some lunch... More

1. Ordered 2 margaritas and some ceviche for all day shade and people watching. If you purchase food chairs and shade are free. Food was great but id stick with a bucket of beers. Margs were average but as big as your head. 2. Free wifi inside 3. Great for couples i'd pass if you have kids 4. Compared to... More

My husband and I fell in love with the beach town of Sayulita. A shopkeeper recommended Captain Cook. We shopped our way down the beach until we found it. Ernesto made sure we got a table with a great beach view and nice breeze. Alexander made the best margaritas in Mexico. This is a funky place on the beach good... More

We noticed they had 5 beers for 100 pesos (about 6 dollars) in the shade on the beach so we stopped by. Service was fairly fast, we got a big bucket of ice cold beers and free tortilla chips with salsa after spending some time swimming in the hot sun. Refreshing and a good deal!

Finding a place to sit and an umbrella for shade on the beach at Sayulita can be difficult and expensive. Captain Cook (how could an aussie fail to eat there!) provides seats, umbrellas and little tables for all of its customers (there are more traditional tables too) as long as you order food and drink. The menu isn't extensive but... More

Able to have a table, umbrella and chair all day for purchase of a bucket of beer and food. Slow service but no issue when just taking it easy watching the surfers and getting some sunshine. Food average, beer cold and I expensive.
