4 of us made reservations and had dinner a couple of days ago. We all enjoyed out meals. Two of us had the trio, another the pretzel platter (as a meal) and the other person had the salmon. All the meals were very good. My...only complaint (and this is just me), was that the food was a bit too salty for my taste. BUT, I think German food in general is a bit too salty. The only time they could seat us with reservations was 5, but that was just fine with us. The trio of sausage, sauerbraten and pork schnitzel. All three were great (albeit too salty for me). The salmon was just a tad undercooked, but as it sat, it could through. The antipasti pretzel platter was huge. We had them box it and had the leftovers on the train heading back to KC the next day.More

Very well kept restaurant at the Stone Hill Brewery and a prefect spot for excellent German far before or after the tour. I will definitely be back.

We had some Wurst and Schnitzel at Vintage for an enjoyable Saturday dinner. The service was great and the food was tasty. Having lived in Germany for 3 years many moons ago, it reminds me of the meals I would have at the little family-owned...spots out away from the bigger cities. I also recommend their Hellbender wine from the Stone Hill winery.More

I must start off and say I was highly disappointed. Everybody raved about how great this place was. So we took everybody up on their advice and got the Sampler. The schnitzel tasted like it was breaded with Stove Top Sfuffing, The Sauerbraten was tender...but their spice was not to our liking and the bratwurst was good. The Pretzels were great though. Overall it was just Meh.. I would not go out of my way to eat here. The Wurst Haus in Town had better more authentic German Food. I'd eat there before here.More

This restaurant closes at 6:30 pm except for Friday and Saturday - almost unbelievable for a sit down dinner place! Food - wife had harvest salad, which she said was good but the viniagrette was too tangy for her taste. She said the roof of...her mouth was burning an hour after we left. I had the German sampler - the wurst was good, the schnitzel was great, but the sauerbraten had obviously been reheated several times, and was not good at all - dry , stringy, and flavorless. They serve wine and beer but no cocktails - good selection of local wines but not much in the way of craft beer. I still can't believe they close at 6:30! Waitress was fine, the place was clean and tables spaced appropriately - another reason to stay open later!More

We went by for an early dinner and it was great! We split a salmon dinner and I wanted my half cooked a little more. It came back pretty fast and cooked perfectly. Nice ambiance in an old building.

Was so looking forward to dinner. Previously had plans for another place, but a gentleman at another winery talked us into this for a nice dinner. Great atmosphere, attention to social distancing and wearing masks. Salad with Parmesan vinaigrette was outstanding. I ordered chicken spatzel...which had good flavor, but dumplings were swimming in oil. We were compensated for this. Husband’s steak was $38.00. Very pricy. Undercooked at first, but corrected. Perhaps because of Covid, steak was pricy. It was not a $38.00 steak. Waitress very attentive, but brought our check before table was finished dining.More

Sad. The lobster bisque soup was so salty we couldn't finish. I would say it could have been canned. It tasted more like gravy with little lobster pieces in it. I ordered the sampler platter with wurst (i've had better hot dogs) and a small...schnitzel with dill sauce. The pork cutlet was tender enough but bland and only about a teaspoon of sauce so it was dry. The sauerbratin was just ok. My husband ordered schnitzel and wasn't happy at all with the blandness. He hated the lobster bisque. My champagne was good though! Service.... sadly he forgot our appetizers so I can't tell you how tge potato pancakes were. He also forgot to check on our drinks... we basically didn't see him until it was time to pay. Its been at least 10 years since we've eaten here because it was pretty bad the last time. Safe to say we won't be back. There are just too many good places to eat in the Hermann area.More
