We ate breakfast at Ray's twice while staying at the Elm's. We always go where the locals go- they know where the best food is. This place is charming and delicious and it was fun to hang out with the local crowd. Everyone knows everyone's name at Ray's!

Perfectly charming. The place was packed. The service was great and the food was good. We had a great time just taking in all the vintage memorabilia.

Great ambiance. Diner fare, moderate portions. Very little seating. Lots of locals hang out. The breakfast food was good, but definitely a "greasy spoon"!

So, two weeks ago, I had a breakfast (NOT HERE) that ruined breakfast food for me. RUINED. Hadn't had a morsel of breakfasty goodness for two weeks. Not even bacon (it was that bad). It was time to get back on the horse... Went up to meet a friend for breakfast. I got the bacon and eggs with hashbrowns. Three... More

Had breakfast here on our last morning in Excelsior Springs. This is truly a diner with a lot of local flair. That being said do not expect any thing but diner food. Breakfast was good but we went here to see what the place looks like. A fun experience but don't expect five star dining.

much like an old fashioned diner. meals fit right in to their old-timer diner decor and were about what we expected for grilled cheese and onion rings.

Stopped into Ray's a few times during travel to Excelsior Springs. Always an enjoyable meal, very cheap food. It feels like you've stepped back in time a couple decades. Love it.

The restaurant itself has a lot of character and we had a great waitress. They served good breakfast food that was reasonably prices. Far better place than The Mill in town.

If you are looking for that greasy burger and fries from the past (they just don't make them like they used to, huh?!), then this is the place for you. Enjoyed all of the old memorabilia (alot of Pepsi). It's good to see such a classic stay "classic". Enjoyed my double burger & fries... and didn't feel guilty eating it!
