My family is on vacation in Branson and we were looking for a place to eat dinner. I looked on trip advisor for reviews and pickin porch had some really good reviews and was close to our hotel. We were a little sceptical because it was located in the back of a craft mall, but with the reviews we decided to give it a chance. I am extremely glad that we did !! We went to the restaurant area and it was crowded, which is usually a good sign. We took a minute to look over the menu and I decided on the porch dip, my wife ordered the bluegrass burger, my 16 year old daughter had the pulled pork sandwich, my 10 year old daughter had a cheeseburger, and my 10 year old son had chicken strips. The porch dip was AMAZING !!! My wife said her burger was the best she had ever had. My oldest daughter said her pulled pork was better than her favorite BBQ place, and my two youngest kids ate better than normal as well. The band was in the very back and they were pretty good as well and listening to their music made the wait for our food go by in a flash. We would have stayed longer to hear more music, but we didn't want to hold our table up for the next people and we were tired so we didn't really want to stand for the show. If you are looking for awesome food with a great selection for everyone at a reasonable price with great entertainment as well, pickin porch is an incredible choice

This place has the best food and huge helpings for decent prices! It was recommended by a local person and he was right on. It's hidden in a craft mall on MO 165. The pulled pork fries were enough for 7 people to split and still have leftovers. The Dip sandwich and Pulled Pork sandwich were very tender and tasteful. The night we were there they had live music which was also very enjoyable.

I had the catfish tacos which were very good. This place is popular and was crowded so service was slow. The crowd was mostly older people (locals) and families traveling with children with very few wearing masks for covid. It's at the back of the Branson Craft Mall and you stand in line to order and then take it out or find a table and a waitress brings the food to you. There is also a live band playing.

We decided to try this place (again) because of all the great reviews, but I must say we were disappointed (again). We first ate there about 1 yr ago and our burgers were very burnt and bland, but the customer service and the reviews were great, so we gave it another chance. I got another burger, and unfortunately it was burnt and bland again. I think a burger from Wendy’s might have been better. My husband got a po-boy sandwich and said that it was “decent”. I will say that the onion rings were pretty good, though. Apparently we should have read more reviews instead of just looking at the 5 star rating so we could have ordered the pulled pork fries since that’s the only item that most people rave about. The people were very friendly and the customer service was great, and the free music was pretty nice little bonus.

I was surprised by this place but not sure why given how many 5 star reviews there are. I just assumed it would be hokey since it's in the craft mall. Boy was I wrong. This food is amazing! The special of the day when we were there was pork tamales which are about my favorite thing in the universe and these were some of the best I've had. The girl at the counter said they are made in-house, and they have to have a sweet Mexican grandma somewhere on staff because they were perfect tamales. They were served with a really yummy avocado sauce that was even better than guacamole. The side I chose was potato salad and it was really yummy and clearly homemade with care. I was with a big party and we got a big table no problem, but I'm betting in the season and when Covid dies down, this place is probably packed. Everyone loved their food. We got an order of the Carne Asada fries which would have served 2 as a meal and fed our table of 8 as an appetizer with plenty of leftovers. Really good, quality carne asada steak on top. Seriously on that sweet Mexican grandma somewhere in the kitchen. What craft mall food stand has legit carne asada? The pulled pork sandwich was good but not the best BBQ we had in town (Gettin Basted wins that title). Burgers were huge, juicy, and had interesting sauces. One kid got the chicken strips and they were fat, juicy, fresh, homemade chicken. Even the fries were good, and they use a really yummy sweet seasoning that makes them super addictive. I did wish they had not used the sweet fry seasoning on the carne asada fries because the sweetness was not a perfect match for the steak. Cole slaw was not a favorite. This place is counter service but they bring your food to you and check on you frequently for refills or to see if you need anything. Really great quality service for a counter service restaurant. Get some fudge next door for dessert and they'll have to roll you out. I will definitely be back next time.

We have heard about this place several times when we have gone to Presley's Country Jubilee. The owner is in the Presley's show. They are supposed to be known for their burgers but we tried the Catfish sandwich and the Chicken Salad sandwich. The amount of food is generous. Price is in line with other food places in Branson. It is WAY at the back of the craft booths. They have different singers there in the evening. We enjoyed our food and the service was impeccable. They will clear the tables for you so they can be assured of sanitizing each one after you are through eating. I purchased some fudge while there as well and they run a VERY close second to the fudge I usually purchase at the Ozark store on the strip across from the Titanic exhibit.

Came with some friends who are regulars and recommended this for our lunch date. After reading all the good TA reviews I was excited to try it. My sandwich and potato salad were delicious. I would come back again just for the potato salad :) My husband ordered a burger and fries. The burger was dry and very overcooked, which was disappointing because the burgers came so highly recommended. Many other menu items looked appealing, especially the loaded fries. Maybe the cook had an off day or just let the grill get away from them. Customer service was great! Place was clean and offered a lot of variety on the menu.

This is a great place located within Branson Craft Mall, and we were so glad to find it! If you can’t eat a lot, you might want to split a burger because they are delicious! If you can’t have gluten, they will substitute the bun for a gluten free bun for a small charge. I would give the food a 5, but mine was overcooked; even so, it was all very, very good. Put this on your list of places to eat next time you’re in Branson!

A lot of food for the money. I was hungry after a round of golf, and got a BBQ sandwich with a side of slaw. My wife got the sandwich with a side of beans. Since we were hungry, we also ordered onion rings. First, the sandwiches had about 1/2 pound of meat each, second, the slaw was sweet and flavorful, third the beans were only second to the ones my wife makes. You should also know that the order of onion rings will feed at least four people. BBQ sauce is on the table so you can use as much as you want. It was a little sweet, but not hot. The flavor was again very good. Some concessions are being made due to the COVID situation, but the waitresses were eager to give drink refills, extra napkins, etc. We will be back there.

Such a great place! The big sign for the craft mall caused me to miss the sign for the restaurant, so watch for that. The restaurant is at the back of the craft mall building, so stroll through and check out the booths on your way to dinner. The food was AMAZING! The burgers were so good. My wife and I decided to substitute other sides for the fries that came with the meal (which was no problem) so we could also split an order of pulled pork fries. A word of advice...if you do this, make sure there are 4 of you to split the fries and not 2. With the addition of the burgers, we could only eat half the fries and half of our burgers (we had great leftovers the next day). I would say skip the burgers and just get the pulled pork fries (which also had baked beans piles on them), but then you'd miss out in the burgers. They also have a variety of other menu options which I look forward to trying on our next Branson visit. The atmosphere was great with live music to boot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd give more stars if I could.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

First time visitors to Branson and this restaurant was highly recommended on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. It is inside a craft mall, but don’t let that deter you as it has amazingly good food. BBQ sandwich topped with creamy coleslaw and the best baked beans we have ever eaten!! It also had a band playing in the evening when we visited. Nothing fancy, but we’ll worth your time to visit. I might add the waitresses were very attentive and made you feel welcome.

Our decision to choose this restaurant was a random combination of the interesting name and the convenience of being located on the correct side of the street. Exiting our car, the smell of meat roasting, signs posted indicating bus parking, and a large number of people exiting with boxes of food were all indicators that we had picked well (pun intended.) We ordered a pulled pork plate and a 3 for $9.99 tamale special they were having that day. The portions were enormous, and the bbq was wonderful. Originally from California, we have not had tamales since moving to Missouri that could rival those handmade by our Hispanic friends back there. Until now. The quality of the handmade tamales was unexpected. Please note that this restaurant has a policy of automatically adding a 10% gratuity for the servers to each check. This should not be a "surprise," as a sign indicating this is clearly posted where orders are taken. It will say "Service Fee" on the receipt. I double-checked with the cashier what this was, and adjusted my added tip accordingly. Service was quick and friendly, and I am glad that I doubled the gratuity. There is a stage where musicians perform. Show times vary - a helpful sign is posted near the stage. Located inside a well-run flea market, I highly recommend staying to shop.

The food and service is superior. We decided to eat here based on Trip Advisor reviews. On Thursday we decided to try a late lunch with our sister and brother in law and we all enjoyed what we ordered. My husband ordered the green tomato BLT with fries. Yum! I had the porch dip...delicious. Our family had the pulled pork plate. They both raved about how delicious it was. So much that we visited again on Saturday the last day they were open for the season. On the second visit everyone ordered different items. The carne asada fries with the avocado cream, yum! The onion rings and burgers were all a hit! Thank you for the wonderful food and excellent service!!! We’ll be back and hope to bring others.

Looking at the menu I wasn't sure what to expect with the cost and location in a craft mall, but it was 100% worth it! Three of us split three different meals (Porch Dip, Fried Green Tomato BLT, and Pork Tenderloin Sandwich), it was all so amazing! Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Definitely recommend getting here and waiting in line about 15 minutes before it opens, we skipped a crowd and a bus full of people who had a pre-paid meal. If you're looking for something different from the usual restaurants in Branson or on the strip, definitely check out Pickin' Porch!

We will definitely be back on our next trip to Branson. We ate there on a Friday night and would have went back again on Saturday if it would not have been so busy, which shows how amazing the food is. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever ate and we eat burgers all the time. I would recommend the catfish taco’s to anyone. They were cooked perfectly. Even our kids that had the salads were stuffed and raved about them. You will not leave hungry or disappointed, I promise you that!!!
