We met friends at the Dilly for the monthly wine tasting, we sat outside thankfully by a fan as it was rather humid. Broccoli and blue cheese soup to start, very tasty, followed by a very good carpaccio, unfortunately I made a wrong choice with...mains as my gammon was awful tough and almost inedible. But everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their food. The wine was flowing very nicely and the live music was quite good except that they were so loud you couldnt hear what anyone on the table saidMore

Nice restaurant for a family to eat a dinner with children or without. Ray pub like but not noisy. Great staff and service as well as food. Nice choice for mid week dinner.

We had dinner for two in the Bistro last night and it was excellent and such good value for money. Pea and mint soup to start, beautifully presented and very tasty. Excellent ham and leek quiches to follow, light filling in a crispy pastry case....Then it was stuffed chicken breasts which were lovely but it was too full to do them justice. BD12.5 including half bottle of wine per person, that’s value for moneyMore

We come over to the island every year and for the last 2 we’ve acquired temporary membership at the Dilmun, the staff are always on point, the food is good and the beers are varied. Pool is lovely to relax in on scorchers too. Close...to Saar cineplex and offers plenty to do in a day, also pleasant to spend an evening there. Furthermore the grounds are well maintained and last time there was a charming cat family of a mother and 4 kittens. Recommended.More

Went into restaurant at 7pm. When it was still reasonably quiet. All staff members were behind the bar. Took 30 minutes trying to get someone to take our order. Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive after order and they were wrong. The starters were prawn...cocktail - prawns rubbery and salad dead and breaded mushrooms - from frozen. Mains were steaks - cooked nicely inside but had been cooked on something burnt as outside of steaks were black along with the mushrooms which I imagine were cooked on same thing. The sides were wrong. After 2 hours for a starter and main to be served we decided to skip the dessert so we didn’t make it to 3 hours, nightmare!! Does not compare to food at rugby club!More

The Dilly is looking fantastic and putting its neighbouring clubs to shame, the sports bar has had a make over and has a nice seating area outdoors, the pool area has new seating and has been tiled and is looking very smart. The Bulls Head...has had a complete refurb and redesigned and its been very cleverly done, for a big room it still retains its cosiness. We had dinner last night in the Bistro its was the dinner for two menu which is excellent value for money as it includes a bottle of wine per couple. Delish soup to start, honey roast ham with a perfectly poached egg, followed up with ducks breast with Chinese spices and to finish I had lovely profiterolles. An excellent meal and very affordable too!!More

excellent food and beers served quickly with the minimum of fuss, prices are less than many, great if the other expat establishments are a little too noisy for a quiet meal and drink with a partner. plenty of free parking. affliated to B.C. and Rugby...so small charge to visit if not member.More

Typical of expat clubs - various food and beverage outlets serving decent pub food. Weekly 'Theme nights and weekend brunch. Very family oriented.

On Monday we were late getting home and decided to pop into the Dilly for supper. We went into the Bistro and as the tables werent set and one still had used glasses on it I asked a waiter if it was open twice and...couldnt understand his replies. We went into the Bulls Head to ask and was told yes it was open. So we went back in and sat down. Although there seemed quite a lot of staff around there was no sign of any manager or anyone in charge and the used glasses on one table stayed there all the time we were in the Bistro. And again although there seemed quite a lot of staff around there seemed to be one waiter doing all the work. I wish I had noted his name as he was very good and pleasant. There was a group of children who seemed to consider the Bistro a playground and I had to ask the girl to stop peeping on her recorder and then use my school teacher voice when they were using the place as a den for hide and seek!! However the food was very good and again I wish I had noted the young waiters name as he was very goodMore

I believe so it costs extra though Twin Palms, Shakoora or Al Maha stables might be a better bet
