Michael, That is a bummer that you hated the name. The name has to do with Fat Crabs, Fat Oysters, and Fat Portions. People would always ask if the crabs were Fat. Hence the name Fatty's. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit and...More

A party of 13 went on a Friday night during a rain storm. Friday and 13 wasn’t bad luck. Some of the reviews weren’t favorable, most were. It wasn’t extremely crowded, because of the weather I’m guessing. Anyway, the service couldn’t have been better. Food...came out quick and hot. The crab claws, crab cakes, barbecue shrimp appetizers were all delicious. I ordered the fried shrimp with a side of crawfish etouffee. Someone ordered the etouffee as their entree. Shrimp was as good as I’ve eaten anywhere. Royal Reds were superb and couldn’t all be eaten. Every single one of us was stuffed and thoroughly enjoyed our food. And the prices were reasonable for the food and quantity. If I’m ever in or around Picayune, I’ll indeed go back for seconds.More

Crab n Corn bisque tasted like someone dumped 1/2 jar of garlic powder in our soup cup. Everyone was in agreement on the poor food quality. Bitter and strong. Full of pepper. Crab cakes tasted exactly like stove top stuffing. We complained to management. They...offered to give us a bread pudding dessert which we were not interested in. No discount, no offer for a different item. Will never go there again. Food was not presentable for customer. Bad bad badMore

Worst service in Picayune. Sat us down as two tables were served, ate and new customers served before we got our drinks. Then those two tables are and was gone before we got our food which consisted of Two Shrimp Po boys and a salad....Ridiculous! Military discount $1.67??? Po boy bread had to be a week old. Never again.More

Service was five stars food and price three! Four entres, two way over priced, one cold and the fourth was the cheapest and the only good one, Catfish and fries. But not worth $16.00. The fish was good the frozen fries were frozen fries. Can't...really mess them up.More

I recently placed an order from Fatty’s for delivery. My order included a Caesar salad with blackened shrimp, a cup of soup and the “Fat Cat” which Fatty’s describes as “Crawfish étouffée served over rice & topped with fried catfish.” The only part of my...order that was correct was the cup of soup. I received a garden salad and the above picture is what I received for “the fat cat”, there was not one piece of catfish. I messaged this picture to Fatty’s through Facebook and over a week later they replied with a thumbs-up sign.More

We had a group of about 50. Reservations had been made well in advance. The food was good, but the service slow and understaffed. I'm not sure I would try it again.

I had won a BOGO offer and decided to get a whole oyster po-boy with the free half po-boy. I called in the order and told the woman that my husband would pick it up shortly. Because I refused the give her my credit card...info. she said that my order couldn't be started until he came into the restaurant to pick it up. When he arrived there no one knew anything about my order or never owned up to it. They asked him for a code which he knew nothing about...nor did I. Consequently, he came home without any food. Do not respond to any of Fatty's promotions if you don't want to come away emptyhanded.More

There food is good except for one spice that throws everything off. I'm not sure what it is but I had the crawish etoufee and fried fish and it wasn't the best. We had dinner here in early May while visiting Picayune. It turned out to be the first day restaurants were able to serve customers inside. What a treat - our waitress was very capable and friendly, the food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the...entire experience. I highly recommend the Fat Cat dinner selection; fried catfish fillets served over a bed of crawfish etoufee. It was outstanding. We will definitely eat here again.More

Fatty's was our go-to seafood restaurant even before it opened in Picayune. The owners had a small place in Chalmette, La. before Hurricane Katrina and we often purchased seafood meals there because of their quality. I would recommend it to anyone, unless loud noise bothers...you. The building in Picayune is large but not well insulated against loud chatter. There is an excellent bar and a party room available for rent.More

Read reviews, expected better. Ordered shrimp poboys and fries, Coke’s. Waitress described as OVER stuffed poboys with typical dressing. My over stuffed poboy had “8” Shrimp! Not authentic gulf shrimp. Absolutely NO flavor or seasoning what so ever. I do not know where they are...getting their shrimp but they were tasteless and had a distinctly bad after taste. We literally had to use a lot of salt and even then it was just not a good experience. Lastly it was hot and people were fanning themselves. Not comfortable at all. Such a shame because the building itself was pretty but unfortunately the food was a complete waste of money.More

I ate there twice this week, once for lunch and once for supper. The food was wonderful and very reasonably priced. I had crawfish for supper and they had some of the best flavor I have had. We also had boiled shrimp and like the...crawfish they were spot on in quality and flavor. This is a great place to take your out of town guest for some great local flavor.More
