No complaints. Fried green tomatoes came out nicely fried, not greasy. Shrimp stuffed with crab meat were delicious (though a bit on the pricey side). Muffaletta sandwich was good. Nice, warm, yeast dinner rolls for the table. Service was pleasant and efficient. Interesting historical building in old Pascagoula. Adequate parking.

This is a quaint place. Little bar, with moderately priced good food. Great for lunch, or dinner. Meeting friends, or eating with family. Love this place!

We happened upon this little gem of a place while looking for thrift stores. It once was a multi-purpose building that included a fire staiton, bank, court house, & a jail. It has old photos on the wall showing some of the history. The bank vault & jail cell are still there. The Fried Green Tomatoes with sauteed shrimp, mushrooms... More

My husband and I enjoyed eating in a historical building today. It was a combination of a city hall, courthouse, jail and firehouse! The atmosphere was great! The food was good! The server was friendly.

Stopped in for late lunch. Uncrowned and quiet. Roasted red pepper soup with Gouda cheese was quite good. Crab dip tasted great, just a tad bit runny, served with delicious wontons, apparently done in house. Fried oysters were delicious, breading light and just right, not the usual yuck of a run of the mill fried seafood house. Grilled vegetables were... More

First night in Pascagoula, needed a seafood fix. I went with a classic Gulf Coast pairing, shrimp and grits. The Scranton ' s version is a rectangular cake of grits served with a shrimp and mushroom sauce seasoned with cayenne and other spices. The sauce is mild to medium in heat. It won't burn you up but it doesn't hide... More

I've visited for a number of occasions and found the food to be tasteful on all occasions. The service is a little slow during lunch though.

For three decades, Scranton's has been serving exceptional cuisine in a unique, casual dining atmosphere. The restaurant makes its home in downtown Pascagoula, Mississippi, in a historic, early 1920's building that once housed the town's firehouse and city hall.Today, remnants of the town's history remain a distinctive part of the dining experience. Guests are welcomed to browse the premises and peek inside the old town vault; dine in the spot where the mayor once conducted business; touch the bars of the town's original jail cell, and glimpse the bright red door that once opened to the old firehouse. But the main attraction at Scranton's is the food - mouthwatering dishes brilliantly prepared with a local flair. Like Scranton's signature Shrimp & Grits; our special recipe of shrimp, mushrooms, peppers and onions poured over baked & seasoned grit cakes. You'll also want to try our Smoked Pulled Pork, slow-cooked and smoked to perfection on premise - or our hearty Crab Cakes, perfectly seasoned and loaded with succulent lump crabmeat. Then there's our unforgettable Seafood Gumbo, She-Crab Soup, savory burgers, crispy fried seafood, Po-boys, salads, fresh fish, juicy steaks, and specials that change daily. The list goes on, but it's always easy to see how Scranton's continues to earn its loyal following and win new fans each day. Come join us for lunch or dinner today, soak in a bit of local history, and experience the great food, fun and friendship that have made Scranton's famous.
