Despite an initial rude treatment on the phone form the young lady who took my reservation, the rest of the staff at the Sycamore house, especially the bar staff attending the to the country yard, where delightful, attentive and even treated my pet companion w utter charm! BSL's gem.

Imaginative menu, making fine dining accessible but still casual. The aged Black Angus tenderloin was one of the best we've ever enjoyed, as were the dry scallops in a buerre blanc sauce. Wednesday was sushi night, and it was refreshing to get a California roll made with real blue crab, all coated in black sesame seeds. Dessert was a flourless... More

What can be better than 2 classically trained chefs living on premises in an historic home preparing unique cuisine that is better than anyplace on the Gulf Coast? Varied menus literally cover the waterfront. Scallops and fresh grilled Gulf fishes are specialties, but the steaks are great too. Unique appetizers, crepes and soups are delicious. Very unique bar scene is... More

We rarely dine in the restaurant because we prefer the bar with the friendliest bartender. The food is amazingly tasty no matter if it's an appetizer, soup or pizza. It's all good!!! Debbie always takes care of us. It's nice to have a local where you're known by first name. Good food, good drinks, friendliest staff.

We went here on the recommendation of the owner of the B&B we were staying at. I had the fish amandine and my husband had the filet. Everything was wonderful. The only critique I had was that the wine list seemed limited. But all the food we had was great. I loved the old house atmosphere.

We are snowbirds staying along the Mississippi coast to avoid the ice and snow. We had eaten at several of the local cafes and the food was OK. This is not like the others. It is a quality restaurant with first rate entrees and a well trained staff. It is as good as restaurants in the French Quarter of NOLA.... More

The Sycamore House is consistently over the top. The ambience is wonderful. You can have dinner or Sunday brunch in this meticulously restored Victorian home. Food is consistently good and the quantity enough to satisfy. It is refreshing to go with friends and be able to chat the music is subtle and not noisy. A true pleasure in the wonderful... More
