Service wasn't poor, but food was terrible for what they charge. We love Grand Superior Lodge, but they have to step it up in the restaurant department. We now always leave the property to get food.

I'll give them a B for effort- Unlike last years visit the wait staff was attentive and happy which actually made up for the mediocre food- The burgers were by far the best thing we ate all weekend- But its a burger, its a sad state of affairs if you mess up a $12 burger-The sampler was not any better... The classic hamburger and Ruben were boring and overpriced. The musician playing at the bar was terrible. We will not eat dinner there again. That being said, breakfast was good.

We thoroughly enjoyed the North Shore sampler. The duck bites where I must have. Very happy with the Minnesota chicken sandwich. Reuben was also a winner.

I had the duck and my wife had the sirloin tip special. The food was very good. The view from outside on the patio or from one of the inside window seats is great. Especially if you catch the sunset.

We really enjoyed our food at Splashing Rock. We were there at a relatively not busy time after what we could imagine was a busy night. There was an interesting dynamic between our server and another member of the staff which made it a bit uncomfortable. We aren't sure the details, but know that there was a confrontation which left... More

The service was good, the trout cakes were good, I ordered NY strip, however they were out, got the ribeye instead it was tasty. The view makes it all worthwhile!!!

The ambiance created by the spectacular lake view and the convenience to the resort found us at the Splashing Rock twice. The first night we had the sampler platter. The duck was overcooked, the bruschetta was overdressed, and the crab dip was tasteless but smelled fishy. In short-don't order it. The second time we went back we ordered from the... More

Stopped for lunch while in area for Tallships 2016. Great view of Lake Superior from deck while having lunch, watched a freighter heading into Duluth which we later got to see come into the canal in Duluth. Food was ok, service give even though only one poor gal working the deck - she took good care of us and made... More

Service was a little slow, but the food and the view made up for that. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection.
