A must when we visit. The decor is northern. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hot beef is a must try. It's a family favorite. For breakfast the cranberry wild rice French toast is the best ever. And let's not forget the pie. O' the pie. Favorites are the lemon angel, pecan, peach/cherry and carmel apple. They have... More

Stopped in after taking pictures of split rock lighthouse. Good service. Warmed up with tea and hot chocolate. Had the curry chicken wild rice soup which was good. Leave room for pie! Pecan and peanut butter pies were great. Also try some of their candies too.

Tasty lunch! We had the House Smoked Salmon sandwich, Chicken Caesar salad, Castle Danger Beer Battered Fish-n-Chips, and Rustic Inn BBQ Burger. We saved room for pie! Our bellies were full! Definitely a hidden Agate on the North Shore.

Happy waiters and good up north cafe food await the hungry hiker. And no matter what, you must save room for the home made pies.

Rustic Inn has the best fish and chips and the best pie on the North Shore. We eat here whenever we're up north and have never been disappointed--breakfast (Camp Coffee is to die for), lunch or dinner. The caramel apple pecan pie is the best, but all the pies are wonderful. Often, we're too full for dessert, so we buy... More

Good service, happy staff, but our egg dishes were a bit over cooked. We did not send them back as it wasn't that bad, everything else was great.

We had driven by the Rustic Inn many times on our travels along the North Shore. Several of our usual stops were not open on a Monday so we stopped at the Rustic Inn. This hidden gem has quickly made it to one of our favorite places to dine along Hwy 61. A great family menu and the pies are... More

For 15 years of just wanting to get up north and back home, we've driven past this restaurant. Today we stopped. Super glad we did. Service was fantastic and the food was superb. They have a little bar but we were too early for serving time on a Sunday. This is a worthwhile stop if you're hungry along your journey!

Yes, 'rustic' in the very best sense. A treat to have lunch here and to finish it up with one of their many good cakes (apple pie a la mode, my favorite). Funny, the road sign says 'Castle Danger' and that is the name of the little village.

Close to Gooseberry Falls. I had a smoked salmon sandwich and my husband had fish tacos (a plate full of goodness). The Raspberry Cream pie was so light and it had a meringue crust. Never had anything like that!
