Good service, happy staff, but our egg dishes were a bit over cooked. We did not send them back as it wasn't that bad, everything else was great.

We had driven by the Rustic Inn many times on our travels along the North Shore. Several of our usual stops were not open on a Monday so we stopped at the Rustic Inn. This hidden gem has quickly made it to one of our favorite places to dine along Hwy 61. A great family menu and the pies are... More

For 15 years of just wanting to get up north and back home, we've driven past this restaurant. Today we stopped. Super glad we did. Service was fantastic and the food was superb. They have a little bar but we were too early for serving time on a Sunday. This is a worthwhile stop if you're hungry along your journey!

Yes, 'rustic' in the very best sense. A treat to have lunch here and to finish it up with one of their many good cakes (apple pie a la mode, my favorite). Funny, the road sign says 'Castle Danger' and that is the name of the little village.

Close to Gooseberry Falls. I had a smoked salmon sandwich and my husband had fish tacos (a plate full of goodness). The Raspberry Cream pie was so light and it had a meringue crust. Never had anything like that!

They open at 10 during the week for breakfast but it was worth the wait. Their skillet breakfasts were uncommonly good. The gift shop has tons of unique items. Never get away from here without buying something. Oh, they also have a chocolate candy counter!

I must confess we ate only pie here. On the recommendation of locals, we got several pies to go over a couple of days and were delighted with the results. The crust is tender and homemade (not tough as on most commercial pies). Delicious range of fillings, particularly fruits. They were out of one we wanted but they made it... More

This place is an up north classic. They have it all, including great food/desserts, cozy atmosphere, good beer, and a cool gift shop attached to the restaurant. I'd be shocked if you stopped here and were disappointed.

For a week night in October, they were pretty busy!!! We had a local Castle Danger beer and very nice wine while we waited for our dinner. Fish tacos and hummus flatbread were excellent and more than I'd expected on the app side of the menu. I wish I could have finished it all. Summer berry pie to go....yay!!! We... More

At our friends' recommendation, we bought two pies here. After two days of hiking, we had some major hunger to curb (after a good supper, of course). We had a carmel apple pecan pie and a "North shore berry" pie. Both were really outstanding. in the apple pie, the apples used did not turn to mush, but had very good... More
