I only had a cup of the house blend but it was very good and only a buck. I'll be back soon, probably to try the bagel/egg/cheese/ham sandwich. It's on a relatively quiet street. Cozy. I like.

This was our first time to Grumpy Steve's- and we will be back soon! The atmosphere is so cute (trolls for sale) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great prices! 2 orders of waffles with blueberries and an order of sausage, plus a coffee and hot cocoa all for $14! Bonus: you can go next door for a... More

Better than both Starbucks and Caribou, and for almost half the price! Both baristas are friendly and provide fast service.

We were taking one of the tours and went early to try the waffles. It is a snack bar type of thing with some seating. A lot of sticky tables and chairs, which, when dealing with syrup I suppose that happens, but then you need to be extra watchful and wash that up. They advertise waffles - so we tried... More

Located alongside the Wabash Caves, the smell of waffles is worth the stop. All raved about the waffles. Coffee and white chocolate mocha were good. Prices are low. Worth a stop.

Grumpy Steve's Coffee shop is located next door the Historic Wabash Street Caves. You can sip on your coffee and gaze at the Downtown St. Paul Skyline. They have great food as well.

I had a smoothie which was delicious but the service was very slow. I think that was because it was busy just before the Wabasha Cave tour and there was only one person working in the coffee shop.

We had a great time at Grumpy Steve's. The seven of us all ordered waffles and knew we would have to be patient as they only have one waffle maker. But they were worth the wait! With two young women efficiently staffing the counter, we had our drinks served up quickly with a smile too. We'll be back!

My wife & I recently moved to downtown Saint Paul and spotted this place on one of our walks - can walk across the Wabasha Bridge over the Mississippi and get here. We walked over for breakfast one morning. A small, local place with no grumpy people in sight. Looked like our server did the cooking and whatever else needed... More

Coffee was very good and well priced. I was first in line so my so my service was wonderful. Charming little shop very convenient after cave tour and prior to bus tour. Would recommend they have more than one person working when they have tours going on. Poor kid running the stand had to make all the drinks, fill food... More
