Newts has been a staple of our since we moved to Rochester 30+ years ago. We tend to hang out at the bar and eat the massive Nachos Grande while taking in a sporting event. The other day we stopped in and I had a taste for a burger. It prompted this review. The burgers are Newts are hands down... More

Needed a quick lunch and Newt's came through! Busy little place with lots of people, fast-paced service, and you watch the cook build your burger fixed how you want it. Fries were excellent as well. Burger was juicy, messy and tasted great. Strongly recommend for a burger lover.

Great service, great burger and fries. One of my son's favorite places. Atmosphere is laid back. Definitely recommend if you are in downtown. We also like the north location and go there often to watch games.

Take family here when they visit from out of town and it only gets better each time. Wait staff is amazing, food delicious, voted best burgers in town year after year and great selection of beers. A must for visitors to Rochester.

We don't get to have lunch that often so this was a nice opportunity to talk over good food. Great large burger choices with a salad made for a great lunch. It's a little hidden and up a set of outside stairs but worth the effort for great burgers.

Newts is always a good local option when downtown. The burgers are always good, and come with plenty of fries and free popcorn. The Marvin is always a good option.

It has been years since I tried Newt's, and just after noon on a Sunday, I was not looking for a giant burger, but options for ope eateries was limited. Already a lively business there, but I was served promptly and chose the fish and chips. I gambled on the onion rings vs. fries and scored. Light, crispy, large rings... More
