Small restaurant (building looks like it used to be a Taco place), indoor and outdoor seating. Greek/Mediterranean food is one of my favorite, and this place did not disappoint! Very good food with generous portions. Not sure, but I think it's a family-run business. The...More

We had eaten in a similar restaurant in Texas. Saw they had chicken shawarma and had to try it. It was fabulous as well as there gyros. Would recommend to anyone who travels in this area.

I decided to try a different restaurant and style of food. This was some of the best service I have received. The food was so good that I ordered takeout afterwards.

Love this place and staff could not be nicer, or more helpful to people who might need some help ordering. Favorites include gyro platter and falafel. Their hummus is the best in the Twin Cities! Easy to eat in or take out.

What a find! In an area that abounds in chain fast food, this sweet little Mediterranean cafe stands out for its delicious food, cooked fresh in house. Last night (the first time I came here) I enjoyed a crunchy-tender falafel, served with tzatziki sauce, hummus,...More

This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. It's relatively small, but their menu allows for an almost endless combination of meals and tastes, ranging from appetizers and entrees, to build-your-own sandwiches and platters. You will order at the counter (bring cash for tips--they take...More

Just stopped here on a whim when I was hungry. Had no idea what they had on the menu. When I got inside I saw they had a gyro lunch special for 6 bucks. Gyro, drink, and fries. There was a little wait but not...More

Description
Food wasn't the only thing on the owners' minds when conceiving Aida. Transforming a scuzzy old Taco Bell into something a little more upscale and making this the neighborhood hangout is also a priority.

Whatever you order, rest assured that your food comes from the heart. All the dishes on the menu are traditional family recipes that owners' family grew up eating themselves.

Named after the classic opera Aida by Giuseppe Verdi, which was first performed in Cairo in 1871, Aida serves Egyptian-Mediterranean cuisine the way Egyptian's consume it - free of bells and whistles, bravado and belly dancing.

Simply, it's Egyptian-Mediterranean fare that you can't get enough of. Be warned, the Mediterranean Sampler will have your mouth watering for days after you dine.

Whether you've come for couple-time or camaraderie, whatever you do, don't skip the baklava. It's big enough to share, and hypnotizing enough to become a lifelong favorite in an instant.
