Reviewed yesterday NEW

Ate here with a large group of clients and work friends. We had several different appetizers, which were great and had lots of flavor. I ordered a beef medallions, risotto, and asparagus for main course and it was delicious. The service was great even with a table of 12+. Pretty cool atmosphere inside as well. I'd return again for sure.

A lovely, neighborhood restaurant, but didn't care much for the food I think they claim to be a Latin fusion spot. Not a place for a meat and potatoes guy. Had the pork tenderloin and it was tough, over-cooked and loaded with spices. While I hated the place, others in our party enjoyed the location and the different food options.... More

Always spot on! Great food and great service. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. If slammed, they and kitchen staff still manage the room. Love the ceviche, guacamole, and calamari, and can't go wrong with any of the entrees.

My visit was for a quick lunch, and in the stop I was so impressed by both the service and interesting food, that I came a second time a day later. Since I wanted something light and am inexperienced in this kind of cuisine, the waiter recommended a Campesino salad. What a delight! It was light and fresh, bursting with... More

Cafe Ena is a popular neighborhood location due to its ability consistently provide flavorful dishes of Latin influence. The only drawback is that it is densely packed with tables in a relatively small space.

We dined here recently with our three young adults. We are glad we made a reservation for 7:45 pm as it was completely full. This was the first good sign that this neighborhood establishment must be good. And it was. The food was very good, as was the service. We need more neighborhood gems like Cafe Ena than the boring... What a great find in South Minneapolis. Supurb service and atmosphere and the food is exceptional. We had the best empanadas I have had in ages. Wonderful Latin Fusion food. Really can't recommend them enough - unless you choose to try LaFresca or Rincon 38. These are all sister restaurants and we've tried them all. Each a great choice and... More

The staff was wonderful - we arrived at 5:30 and had the place almost to ourselves. We were told the guacamole was extra special and it really was - the flavor and presentation were very special. The decor is beautiful and you can see how talented the chef is. The steak was wonderful and so was the pork.

We always have a wonderful dinner at Cafe Ena, the Twin Cities has so many great restaurants and this is certainly one of those. We enjoyed ceviche which was all that advertised plus lots of small octopus, extremely large portion and excellently flavored to the last bite. For entrees we had sea bass and grouper, well prepared and presented, Hector... More

Chef/Owner Hector Ruiz welcomes you to Cafe Ena: A cozy intimate restaurant located in the tangletown neighborhood in south Minneapolis. Chef Ruiz pares his classic French technique and South American palate to present an exciting menu of Latin-Fusion cuisine. Begin your meal with a south american style ceviche, shrimp, fish, scallops and shrimp in a aji sauce. The many entrees include, scallops, halibut, pork tenderloin, Argentinean style steaks finished in a savory chimichurri. The wine list focuses on a wide range of varietals from Central and South America. Weekly Wine Flights are a great opportunity to sample the many styles offered on the list. If wine is not your thing, perhaps you would enjoy one of the many cervesas, always served in a frosty mug with a lime.
