You can dine in the restaurant or the less formal cafe. Both offer wonderful creative cuisine that should be a treat to any palette. Not a huge selection but each offering from the appetizers to the main course and desserts are cooked to perfection. Great for any occasion. The cafe dining room is open and tables close together, but the... More

Our family went early on a Sunday for breakfast. The restaurant has a warm ambience, spacious and airy and was quiet. Just perfect for my type of Sunday morning breakfast. Full meals were not being served yet (we arrived at 7:30am and that service starts at 8am) but we picked out some pastries and coffee. Everything we got was excellent.... More

I have dined at Restaurant Alma many times but I was very excited to try the new Cafe Alma next door. It is a simple, little, airy space with wonderful food. It is less expensive than next door with entrees in the $10-$14 dollar range. We started with the cheese board (which may go down as one of my favorite... More

Alma has recently opened Cafe Alma on the premises and this is a less formal setting for all day dining. Their chaucterie platter and cheese selection won't disappoint and you can even accompany it with draft Prosecco. We decided on red wine instead. I also recommend the olive plate. It is a step down from the more formal and fixed... More

Service was slow and unenthusiastic, location of our table was loud... took away from our birthday celebration event. Also, they forgot to prepare gluten free cake that we pre-ordered. Substitute dessert was not appealing in looks or taste but we appreciated the effort to solve the problem. Our experience was unfortunate because the appetizers and three courses were interesting, beautiful,... More

This is now THE place to eat in town, in some ways deservedly so, in others not. The ambience is definitely good, the servers exceptionally pleasant. The food is good, sometimes great. You will spend two full hours, however, eating three fairly small courses at high prices. So it's your choice.

Dining at Alma was such a surprise. When arriving, I was a bit confused as the location was not so ideal - in regards to the neighborhood. However once you walk in, you can feel such an abundance of joy in such a hidden gem. Everyone is extremely friendly. Although our table was not ready at the reserved time, the... More

For anyone that appreciates food, this is the place! Dedication to sustainable farming and support of local growers. Three courses, 58.00$ , wine pairings available. Interesting choices that changes with the season. This place is my favorite in Minneapolis. The bar also has great food and cocktails.

As a frequent restaurant visitor, I can't believe I haven't been here yet! Great food, service and atmosphere! Great for solo, friends or a romantic dinner, this place really delivers. The only negative thing I would have to say is brew the coffee at a lower temperature, is a bit burned tasting. I came in for lunch but would like... More

My husband and I had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Restaurant Alma. The place felt warm and welcoming on a cold winter night. The ambiance was informal (everyone wearing their best Minnesota sweaters) while somehow retaining a sense of quiet elegance. How is that possible? It's a mystery. The fixed price menu was thoughtful and our choices were consistently... More
