Food is consistent, quality of vegetables, meats, shrimp, above average, drinks, full bar available, bar seating, removed slightly from the main dining area consists of multiple tables, booths, horseshoe booths for more than 4.... This arrangement is customer friendly,... Service is usually good/better...... They have a points program/card, that's nice... Management is customer driven..... Ambiance is wood tones, lighting is... More

This is one of the only chain restaurants we consistently enjoy to dine. The food is fresh, delicious and, for the most part, consistent. My husband and I especially love the chicken pot stickers, the shrimp summer rolls, the lettuce wraps and the Panang curry. Depending on who is cooking, the Panang curry is better some nights than others! Most... More

The food is always fresh and you get a large serving. I always have take out so my dinner really only costs about $7! The chefs use a lot of lemongrass, so it tastes fresh and clean. The wait staff is usually very pleasant and efficient, but sometimes you get a server that is not as well trained.

We have eaten at the Big Bowl in Reston, Virginia. That location seems to have its act together a little more than this location. We were seated near the point where the wait staff picks up food. A lot of plates seemed to sit for a long time, getting cold. That was certainly true of our soup, appetizer and entrée.... More

The good is always good. I tried the Thai curry bowl this time for a change. It was excellent. The dumplings is a hit with my family. I just wish they offer a larger portion of this appetizer. Service is great. We were seated right away at 4:30pm on a Fri. If u come after 6, there will be a... More

This place has the right amount of portion served to each person. They customize the food according to what you need and what you do not want to get added. The Big Bowl name is exact as they serve a big bowl just more than enough to fill and make your stomach happy.

We always have the "Chef's bowl" where you pick your protein, sauce, and starch and they hand select the vegetables you want. It's always quite good and especially the orange sauce. Service is good. All in all a pleasant dinner.

My husband and I visited on a Saturday evening. We were running a bit late for our reservation but they were nice about it and were seated immediately. Our server was Morgan. She was great. When we said we wanted water she was cool with that. I happened to ask her how she was doing and she looked genuinely surprised... More

When I lived in the Twin Cities, this was one of my favorite places to eat, but I didn't go often. It is not your typical Chinese food served in take-out foam containers, but is upscale in the locations of their restaurants, the decor, the ingredients used, and they have a Stir Fry Bar for diners to customize their own... Description
There’s really only one place for authentic Chinese and Thai–and that’s Big Bowl. It all begins with the highest quality ingredients–naturally raised chicken and beef, heirloom pork, sustainable seafood and produce grown locally. Because Big Bowl believes that the best food is made from scratch, you can taste big, bold layers of flavors in every dish, from the curries right down to the dipping sauces. Everyone raves about the pad Thai, our spicy dishes that are truly hot, and our create-your-own stir-fry–and for good reason. Every element adds up to big taste and takes our food to another level, be it a fresh squeeze of lime, fragrant herbs or the seared Thai chilies. Big Bowl is so big on authentic flavors that even the ginger ale is made with fresh ginger root–from scratch, of course.
