This was the first time going to Jensen's. I received a Gift Card from a friend and didn't have time to really go until this last weekend. We had 4:30 reservations since it was the Valentine's weekend and was seated immediately. The atmosphere going in was very relaxing and was taken to a table. Our server, Luke came over, introduced... We were seated immediately as we walked in, but then waited at least 5 minutes for someone to bring us water and menus. It was the middle of the afternoon so the place was not that busy. The booth had not been wiped well, there was lettuce on the seat. I had the lobster mac and cheese. It was ok,... More

Finally made it to Jensen's and was seriously disappointed with price and portions. $12 for 6 tiny cocunut shrimp, 1 popper bread per person, $38 for ribeye that was more like a hamburger patty - very thin and not your normal ribeye steak for the price. $120 for two people - will not return!

I really hate giving bad reviews, but this place was a let down with the exception of their pop overs. If your going to spend $100 on a meal, go to Ruth Chris Steakhouse or Manny's Steakhouse. Really, my steak was overdone, my husband's tuna steak was over $40, but it was literally an order of sliced ahi tuna and... More

Jensen's has been our go-to place for a nice supper in Eagan for many years. The service is good and the food delicious. The house salad and popovers are fabulous, as is the parmesan-crusted walleye. Only drawback is that on busy evenings, it gets loud and difficult to carry on a conversation with your group.

This is a very nice restaurant. It's also very expensive (many would say overpriced for what you get) but perhaps appropriate for a special occasion where you need a beautiful dining room to impress and spoil someone. My meal (broiled chicken breast) was good but several diners at my table received cold food. It seems no one is responsible for... More

Nice place. Tried them s a change up from our tried and true Pool and Yacht destination. Pluses were the deserts and pumpkin pie. Minuses were they actually only served carved Turkey breasts. The roast beef and ham were so so. The usual accompaniments were good, service fair. All in all, they do a better job on conventional dinners. We'll... More

Had dinner here with my car club on Saturday Nov. 26, 2016. The restaurant is in a nice location and the parking lot and building exterior were clean and pleasant looking. Once inside the interior has a warm friendly atmosphere. Part of the group had already arrived and we were seated immediately. The restaurant has a bar area and a... More

While on a shopping trip to the outlet mall in Eagan, my friends and I asked shoppers and staff where the best place to eat was. Everyone replied, "Jensen's," within easy walking distance of the mall. Those we asked did not lead us astray! What a special place! Warm and woody decor, great food that was perfectly cooked, excellent service.... More

I had dinner here with colleagues in early November 2016. I would return given the opportunity and would hope for a better experience with a different server. Service: Given the quality of the food and surroundings, the service was disappointing. The server rushed around, didn’t stop to listen, forgot drinks and sloshed water onto the table. It did recover towards... More

Description
He Jensen family has been in the restaurant business for over 60 years. In 1947 Doron Jensen's grandfather Al and his brother Pete Jensen founded Jensen's Cafe in Fremont, Nebraska. Doron started his restaurant career working for his grandfather at the cafe. When Al died in 1979 Doron wanted to takeover Jensen's Cafe but he was too young at the time. Doron worked in the chain-restaurant business for many years, including founding a local steak house chain. He eventually grew tired of chains and wanted to start a "Local Landmark Restaurant" dedicated to his grandparents. In 1996, Jensen's Supper Club was born. Jensen's Supper Club was created with the mission that Supper Clubs belonged to the community. The 40's and 50's were the glory eras for Supper Clubs and they evoked a sense of occasion. It was a special place to celebrate with your family. In 2014, Jensen's Supper Club became Jensen's food & cocktails. The objective was to create a more casual atmosphere environment more welcoming to a broad demographic. Surrounded by new outlet shops Jensen's food & cocktails becomes the perfect pre- or post-shopping experience for lunch or dinner for anyone seeking a great meal in a casual atmosphere offered with impeccable service. Jensen's food & cocktails continues to celebrate its original mission: A place not merely to dine, but to celebrate!
