We stopped by on Feb. 20, 2016 and there was a sign on the door nicely informing the public that after three good years in Three Oaks the owners were not reopening in 2016. There was a suggestion of a new venture in Chicago. Darned sorry we didn't get here earlier- it sounded like a good place!

Stopped while in town. Good service of both the royal pie and nut brown ale. The place is owned by people from Yorkshire so the food is authentic. The beer section included an ESB. The mushroom and kale pie was great. Worth a stop

Wonderful meat pies & good English style pub beer that is brewed on premises. English pub style atmosphere.

The Royal Pies were YUMMY! I would add a side of something if you are really hungry, because they are not very big! My son loved the chicken strips, but that was about the only thing on the menu appealing to kids, so maybe make this a date night restaurant! Staff was super friendly!

A quick stop for lunch on the way back to Chicago yielded a great dining experience. Outstanding meat pies and locally brewed beer made for a delightful meal. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere in SW Michigan

Friends had told me of the miracle that is the Pleasant House Scotch Egg but only recently did I try it for myself. It may be the world's perfect snack. The egg was soft-cooked to the level of metaphysical perfection. And the sausage coating was perfectly fried. You have to try it to believe it. And the honey ale beer... More

This was for a take away. We called in an order once we got the kids to bed. Four pies, deluxe mashed potatoes, and peas. We were told to pick up in 20 minutes. Pies were finally ready an hour after we ordered. We had a nice chat with the bartender (she's from Scottsdale), but... Aside from the crazy wait,... More

Yes the beer is good but the meat pies are to die for! Best I've had in the U.S. So don't be afraid to go here with your kids. Meat pies are a form of Original Sin that everyone should try.

If you are not into ale or beer, try their ginger fizz (on tap)! Wow! They have their own garden and the seasonal greens we had were exceptional. The pies are exceptionally good... try the steak and ale or the chicken balti! Staff is friendly, but the food really is more than pleasant!!

Stopped here on a return trip from South Bend had a pint. Very nice atmosphere and the food (pies) smelled very good though we had other plans eating later in the day. Had a very nice ale and we were on our way.
