Nice friendly rural pub with roaring fire. Dogs welcome here. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lots to choose from on the menu. Opted for the chicken kebabs with a side of chunky chips with aioli. Separate kids menu too. Peach frangipan tart with whipped cream finished it off nicely.

We booked for dinner on Wednesday night but sadly wouldn't return. I ordered a stone baked pizza which I heard the Coach house was famous for, but it was the most bland pizza I have ever tasted, no seasoning or herbs on there at all - Very disappointing. One of our party ordered the Pot Chicken and asked if there... More

The place itself was very warm and cosy with open fire and lots of character. A decent selection of drinks to choose from. The menu had wide range of dishes. I went for steak and chips. Meat was very good, but chips and onion rings were nothing special. I'd be tempted to go again because of the atmosphere, but try... More

We booked a table last minute here 2 weeks ago for lunch. We were ignored for the first 3 minutes of standing at the bar. The place is very tired and needs redecorating and some tlc. Our table was in an orange coloured booth that was freezing in comparison to the rest of the place. The chips were very poor,... More

Met some friends who live nearby here for dinner. The bar area was nice, cosy and warm. The restaurant area where our table was located was freezing despite being close to the kitchen. Our main courses were nice enough (fish&chips, pie&mash). Pudding was odd! Fruit with a granola crumble. That was not granola, the taste and texture was like flour... More

Me and my 3 friends booked this place for my birthday meal after being recommended by someone. We were all disappointed with what we had. We ordered 2 garlic breads with cheese to start to share, unfortunately it definitely didn't taste of garlic just very oily. Our main courses were bought straight out the second we finished the starter. 2... More

Recommended as I had been to other restaurants in the "chain". Turned up towards the end of a weekday lunchtime during half-term. Car parked rammed and restaurant 3/4 full - which was a good sign. Order 3 dishes of tapas plus bread. None of the food was particularly good - the three hot dishes seemed straight out of a freezer... More

We've been going to this pub for the last thirty years (from the days of Kevin) and have always enjoyed the selection of beers and the food. Many a happy bonfire! However on this trip the food, in particular the fish was very poor. The 'cod' was grey & tough, but we would put money on it that it was... More

Four of us came for Sunday lunch with high expectations after dining here previously. Unfortunately we were terribly disappointed. The only good thing with the meal were the meats which were very good. The rest of the meal was of very poor standard. The roast potatoes were so hard I could not get a knife through them. There was one... More
