Bar keep- lady bartender - has no idea what being in the service industry is about. Actually rude- not accommodating.

In Saint Joseph once a year for a month and go to Rye Belles at least once. They have remodeled the upstairs patio and did a great job. The food is always good. Wife had the tuna appetizer and I had the mahi tacos. The...tacos came as a great food platter with warm tortillas and a container of pico de Galla, guacamole, a scoop of rice, and lettuce. The piece of mahi was cooked perfectly. You then put them together yourself. Never had them served that way but the visual was great. Look forward to our next trip.More

Waited one hour for a table, great view. But menu very limited, website not updated. Entrees listed on the website menu no longer available. Half of the rooftop not in use! Out of the 6 of us, only 2 people liked their food. Steak sandwich...too fatty, ribs just ok, fish tacos just ok. No longer worth the price of the view!More

Great location in downtown St Joe. rooftop seats have views of the lake but you cannot reserve these in advance so expect to wait. The salmon is always delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. We sat out on the balcony overlooking the street. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The artichoke spinach dip (not pictured because it was quickly devoured) was delicious, as well as the steak and salmon. We highly recommend eating...here if you’re in the area.More

Ordered perch dinner and got 5 tiny perch strips and a bag of potato chips for $18.00. If I wanted fries it would have been $3.00 more. Presentation was awful. Perch was in a basket lined with parchment paper with a slice of lemon. No...coleslaw either. When ordering the chips, I mentally pictured homemade fried potato slices, not a bag I could buy at a convenience store. Very disappointed. Will never eat there again. Don’t waste your money!More

The food was very good. The sky top seating was lovely. We had a great view of the lake. We really loved this place! The artichoke dip was excellent and the tuna tartare was very good. I will say that the perch basket fingers were...very small and the music was a little too loud. Other than that, it was just lovely. But Alex was over the top fantastic. He took such good care of us and was so nice and he just made our meal and afternoon wonderful. Thanks Alex!More

The firecracker shrimp was amazing as always. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it came out cold. I returned it, the second plate that came out was also cold and the chicken was bad. Had a funny fishy taste to it. 🤢. Needless to say,...I didn’t eat dinner. Our waitress was super nice and stated she would talk to the kitchen because I was the fourth person to complain. I told her that was pretty scary! At $27 a plate- to be cold and then the chicken to be bad. I will stick to the firecracker shrimp and a salad next time.More

In town for a few days and happened upon this locals restaurant. Welcomed by midwestern warmth, the service was friendly and engaging. The menu has a lovely selection. My husband had the steak frites that was prepared to temperature and tasty. The caccio and Pepe,...one of my favorite pasta dishes, was delicious with just the right amount of heat in a rich broth. The wine list is not terribly deep but is well priced and stood up to our meals. We didn’t try the 10”wood-fired pizza, but they looked great with ample toppings. It was too chilly, but the roof top garden looks like the perfect spot for a summer dinner.More

This is the second time we have eaten at Rye Belles. We actually returned because we enjoyed the filet so much the first time. The steak is hands down the best filet I've eve had. The flavor, the cut and the way it was cooked...was perfection. Worth every penny! Next time we are in town we will definitely be back!More

As my title states.....If you are African American I would caution you to give this establishment your business. My first visit with my white husband was amazing. My second visit with mostly black group of girlfriends was traumatic. In short, we stopped in on a Sunday...during our visit to wine country. After placing our order I would say 10 minutes later we were approached by our server who informed us that we were being too loud and inappropriate. He went on to state that they had been approached by four other tables. We looked at each other kind of dumb founded as we were wondering what was too loud, and what language did we use that was inappropriate. We had not even all ordered. He came back to the table to say "You people, are being too loud and I have tables complaining about you" At this point I know I could not stay here,it was not going to be emotionally safe for me or my friends. As we were planning to leave the manger and his servers said I think it's good you are leaving. I told them that their approach to the situation made me feel that they were being racist. In that moment the hostess pull down his mask, rised up and attempt to put me in my place. I write this to share that you if you go as a group of Africa Americans be careful.More

We love taking day trips to St. Joseph. Silver Beach is clean and lots of cute unique shops. Decided to try Rye Belles based on views. We walked in round 2pm on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. Told a 30 minute wait but we could...wait at the bar. It turned out to be a 20 minute wait and we ended up with a lovely pub table with a beautiful view of lake Michigan on the rooftop. We started with the firecracker shrimp appetizer. It was delicious and we could of made a meal out of it. We love Bonefish grill and their Bang Bang Shrimp and this was better! Hubby had the lake perch and I had the fish tacos. Both were delicious. Service was great! We were stuffed and headed to Silver Beach for a nap.More
