The food was very cold and the service was bad. The last I was at this place all was well. I do ot know if it was sold or what but the service and food was terrible. I would not recommend.

My husband and I coming back from traveling the west coast of Michigan and stopped in and absolutely loved it! The French toast was perfect but the pieces are BIG!!! I would for sure recommend this!

Great find! We prefer mom and pop places and this was a good one. The biscuits were homemade for biscuits and gravy and the omelet was filled with ham and cheese. Two breakfasts for $14. Their bakery case has homemade bread and the biggest donuts...you’ve ever seen. Just 2 miles off the interstate.More

The breakfast bar was quite basic - scrambled eggs, bacon, 2 kinds of sausage, ham, sausage wrap puffs, hash browns, biscuits, good sausage gravy, French toast, pancakes, sweet baked goods, mixed fruit, plus a salad bar. No juices. The food was good, and since we...were just looking for a good basic breakfast, this was just fine with us. The waitress was very apologetic for making us wait so long since they were short-staffed, which amused us, since she seemed quite prompt to us, and was very entertaining as well. We were on our way back home and had to bring home a few of their giant cinnamon rolls. They are huge and very reasonably priced. My wife got 3 of them including some of their fantastic cookies. She brought them back for her friend...and grandkids. We have had breakfast here over the years but the sweet rolls always bring us back. If in the area check them out!More

Stopped on our way up the the bridge. The lovely owner went through each type of donut with us several times. Great buffet. Bought huge plate sized donuts for under 4$ each.

My husband and i like to try different mom and pop type restaurants to support the small business owner, so on a trip through the area, we decided to try H&D Chuckwagon in US-10 in Reed City. So glad we did!. When we arrive around...1:30 on a Saturday afternoon, a woman was cleaning the outside windows and greeted us warmly, inviting us to sit wherever we choose. The staff was also welcoming when we walked inside. The donut display case was visible when we walked in and our server advised we get them while we could. The large donuts (the size of a dinner plate) were just $2.50 each. A loaf of raisin bread was $3.20. We ordered the Chuckwagon Reuben and Steak sandwich, which came with chips and a pickle spear, and each added a trip to the salad bar for an additional $3.75. The bread on each sandwich is baked in-house, as well as the donuts, and the meat was sliced in-house too. The woman who does the baking arrives at 4 am and does a great job. For a home cooked meal at a reasonable price, generous portions, this is a great location that actually values you as a customer - as evident on the faces of the staff.More
