You really think that you taken a wrong turn, because it takes a while to reach the restaurant in the forests near Riquewihr in the Alsace. We went there for lunch en it was really nice. On the terrace outside, between the roses and herbs they use for the food. Very quiet and relaxing!

As with all real pearls, hard to find! The location of the ferme-auberge in the forest makes it difficult to find, but it's worth the effort. We come here for over twenty years, sometimes several times a year. And have never been disappointed, on the contrary, we have lunch or dinner each time with utmost pleasure. The food is not... Weather was good so we had dinner outside. Service was good and the food was abundant and tasty. We had the urn soup followed by wild boar stew and cock au vin washed down with a glass of wine and for dessert fruit tart (cherry and raspberry). Great place up in the hills and worth the drive up out of... More

The gîtes where we are staying included this on their list of nearby restaurants. And we read the reviews on Trip Advisor. We decided to make a trial run this afternoon since directions were so sketchy and the forest was so dense. It seemed as if it took a long time to get there, but we did fine. After saving... More

This restaurant is amazing. Just the road going here is an adventure and then when arriving you will not be disappointed. This place is what Alsace is all about... - great surroundings, - humble food with great flavor - great wine - great value - great service I absolutely love the way the food is served in large bowls/plates to... Wow, what an outstanding find! I found this courtesy Tripadvisor. I’m glad we had a car so we didn’t have to hike up/down. Having said that, it’s worth the hike up for their truly outstanding food. We liked the food so much we had dinner there the following night (we normally don’t repeat restaurants while on vacation AND we have... More

We walked to the restaurant from Riquewihr, which took about 1.30hrs. Very warm welcome, the food from the menu was delicious. It was raining on the day so we ate indoors, but there is a lovely terrace for eating out when the sun is shining. Booking recommended and definitely arrive hungry as the portions are generous. English spoken.

This is a beautiful place as you arrive in the clearing looking down over the forested hills after a fairly twisty few kilometres from Riquewihr. The road down to the restaurant is much improved as it was very rough when we came here a couple of years ago. If you sit outside you can look over the lovely flower and... More

Location high in the hills is an obvious plus - especially if you have walked up the tracks and paths from Kayserberg as we did. We only had a snack lunch, but the thick soup being served to others smelt good and hearty - which probably sums the place up. Absolutely no frills and no pretensions. Unfortunately the thick and...
