Right on the main plaza, this restaurant definitely caters to foreigners, but retains a coffee-shop/pub like feel. The food is cheaper than you'd expect for a main-square restaurant, and they serve a variety of local dishes! The beer is cheap, get te Toña, the national...More

I was taken here for lunch, which was excellent, but returned alone later in the afternoon to get a table outside so I could watch the activities in the plaza. It is popular with tourists and expats as well as the locals. It is easy...More

This restaurant is sitting on the corner of a very active plaza which holds the UNESCO World Heritage site of Cathedral of León. It is open air with outdoor seating facing the plaza. From inside and on the patio, you can do some serious people...More

Sit out front. Order small. Sip beer. And watch life in Leon. This was one of the most pleasant experiences of our Nicaraguan trip. The Central Park was buzzing. Even though the location shouts, "tourist," we noticed a mix of locals and visitors. We stayed...More

I had a meeting with someone and we wanted to have a cigar outside. El Sesteo has excellent espresso and other coffees and an outdoor seating area from which you can look at central park and the cathederal. We enjoyed a nice hour for a...More

A great non fast food place to sit in the square and grab a nice decent meal. Warning:It can be loud with church bells, and congested during certain times with street mimes and activities. But you may like that!

The location could not be better: on the main square, next to the cathedral, and souvenir market. On a hot moment - are there any other times in Leon?! - Sesteo offers a great place to have a beer (the 4-for-3 helps), snacks or a...More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel hosts and what a fantastic place. We had the tacos de pescado (fish tacos) and the plato casero nicaragnese (homemade nicuraguan dish) accompanied with a nicely chilled Tona. The plaza was buzzing outside given it was getting toward...More

I enjoyed a wonderful chicken soup (Caldo de Pollo) and a huge glass of fresh pineapple juice together with a perfect view on the Cathedral and the activities in front of it. Very attentive and quick service (on a busy friday) and acceptable prices despite...More

Right at the heart of this intellectual and humid city is located “El Sesteo” a nice setting with a nice view and a unique decoration. The food is nice has a good variety of things, Local food, Mexican, Sea food (ocean is only 20min away) and international cuisine, Service is pretty good and all of the walls are decorated with the local dance, folklore and most important people of Leon one of them Ruben Dario Father of the modernism and prince of the Spanish language. They are open for lunch and dinner and probably have the best view of any restaurant in Leon, have a nice breeze that run through the place and a nice view to the street which you can see the locals walking around the main square.Go and enjoy this place and give a try to local own places.
