This restaurant has the best views of Bhaktapur's Taumadi Square of any of the restaurants around - and its in a historic structure. Yes, the food is just ok and is overpriced - but you're a tourist and the view is worth it. Just get an appetizer and a pot of tea and watch all of the activity in the... More

This is one of the more unique restaurants I have ever been to. The structure is ornate and historic, just like the temples and the square around it. The views from the top terrace are amazing. The food quality didn't impress however. To be frank I was not assured of the cleanliness here either. Just opt for a hot black... More

Stumbled across this spot on our first morning in Bhaktapur. Loved sitting on the too balcony watching the square come to life below. Spent a good hour here watching stores open up and families play. Really overpriced for tea and a cold drink so we didn't return even though we would have liked too. You can also people watch from... More

The rooftop terrace overlooking Taumadhi Durbar is pretty impressive. The menu is pretty limited (which makes sense -kitchen is pretty small) and it is expensive by Nepali standards. The Nepali set menu (dal bhat set) is pretty good though.

Actually we wanted to go to another place so we came here by accident. They have a great roof top terrace. Menue is good and offers the typical range (nothing special) of dishes in Nepal. Service was motivated and the quality of the food was good.

This place is absolutely smack dad in the middle of everything. You cannot miss it. Right across from one of the most popular temples, Nyatapola. We grabbed a very quick late lunch, before we had to leave, and there was no problem with seating. But it is always busy with people, mainly because of the location. I love that, crowds... More

As others have pointed out this restaurant is located in a perfect location with outside seating on all 4 sides. Food was excellent and plentiful. Chicken, fried rice and French fries were all top notch. Tablecloths have not been cleaned in ages so do not let cutlery touch any part of the table covering. The yogurt! What can you say... More

We stopped in here for lunch after a long morning touring Kathmandu. Our guide had arranged for us to get tables overlooking the Taumadhi Square from the upper level...the location above the crowds was what made it wonderful. We had a great bowl of chicken noodle soup, sweet and sour chicken, rice and fries...way too much but delicious just the... More

the location is top, but the prices are beyond bad ... you pay so much money for simple things, my God. You never see locals there, only (stupid) tourists who really pay more then 1.000Nrs for a Tali. the cheapest thing is soda water, but this also for 174Nrs ... as long as tourists are going there this prices can... The restaurant is located very close to two major must-see sites in Bhaktapur. The building in which the restaurant is also very nice and unique. But the food the restaurant serves is cheap imitation of Indian, Chinese, and continental dishes. Would be better if they stuck to traditional Nepali (plus a few simple non-Nepali) dishes.
