Surprisingly great authentic cajun/creole/Nawlins cookin in the Upper Penninsula. Best flavors were the cajun cooking- barbecue is just OK. Think Gumbo, Shrimp Ettoufee and Po Boys the size of your head. Great atmosphere. End with beignettes and you are good to go for days.

I enjoy eating here, after being to NOLA it sure isn't as good as the real deal...but it is pretty darn close. I love that this is a little hole in the wall...if your not looking for it you won't be able to find it. The Boudin Balls, Alligator Bites, and Big Mamou Platter are to die for. Biggest complaints...no... More

Who would expect that the best restaurant in Marquette would be a cajun joint eh! This is without a doubt the one place in Marquette you must go to for the most "real" food not that delivered in a truck crap! This is what dining out should be! ,

OMG--our food and service was so top notch. Had shrimp and grits; totally felt like I was in New Orleans--from decor, to menu to music. Had the Hot & Dirty Martini...peppar vodka, olive juice, vermouth, a splash of tabasco with a hot pepper and olive garnish--yikes it was warm but tasty.

Went with 2 friends and 2 NMU students. Because we had a table of 5 we had to wait for everyone to be there to be seated. Close quarters with other diners but everyone was friendly. Lots of choices and good food!

Finding it was a little difficult, but well worth the search. The atmosphere is pretty cool, and the food was amazing! I haven't had frog legs since I was a kid, and my first time eating alligator, so yummy. The red velvet cake was to die for, never had a dessert that makes me want to drive 2.5 hours just... More

We really enjoy the food at Lagniappe's, we feel like we are down south near New Orleans when ever we are there. The owners and the wait staff are excellent and the music is down home awesome.
