If you go during dinner time, plan to wait. The parking is limited, but there is parking across the street and all around town. Kalamazoo is easy to navigate on foot, so don't be afraid to park and walk. You'll need to walk after you...More

Had an excellent chicken dish with tasty mashed potatoes. The grilled broccoli was dry & overdone and the side salad unremarkable. Delicious pumpkin desert with great coffee afterward. Service was very attentive and professional.

My salmon plate was wonderful. I did not want the salad that came with it and asked for a substitution. There wasn't a substitution. It was a large price for a fillet only.

The food was pretty good and the service was good too, but the noise in the restaurant was so bad we had to yell at each other to have a conversation. For the price of the food, you would think they could put in some...More

We went to Kalamazoo for a last minute long weekend. While we were driving, I looked up restaurants in KZoo and discovered Food Dance. Aside from an odd name, the menu sounded good and we like supporting locally produced so we made reservations. I'm glad...More

This is very high quality, locally owned restaurant with a fantastic adjacent food market. Food is creative, consistently good, and typically locally sourced. Great for any meal as well as special events.

For 20 years, Food Dance has been committed to building a thriving and sustainable local food system. We support artisans who practice craft food processes that have been around for generations-growing, raising, preserving, curing, aging, pickling, butchering and more. For Food Dance, it's about the connection with the people and places their food comes from-authentic people and authentic food that's true to its source. Serving breakfast, lunch or dinner-guests are served the freshest menu items in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. We offer private dining space for celebrations or larger groups as well as catering and delivery. We host cooking classes and special dinners throughout the year - aimed to introduce guests to new elements of the culinary and agricultural worlds. Our on-site market offers amazing ingredients sourced from their family of purveyors-from sustainable, humanely raised meats, sausages and artisan cheeses to fresh baked bread, pastries and savory baked goods.
