We both thought that the food was as good as any of the better Polish restaurants we've eaten at. The basement dining room and decor are stuck in a time warp, but that was fun in a quirky sort of way. Lastly, our server was...More

Have been going here for years and am never disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. I really enjoy their soups. My favorite is the dill pickle! For a great sample, try the "Polish Plate."

Why was the kapusta/sauerkraut orange? Mushroom soup was a bowl of grocery store white mushrooms with a splash of chicken broth, a few carrots, and maybe some milk. Seriously? Whole meal was really marginal and the service was terrible. Used to be awesome but I...More

We stopped here on a Sunday for lunch. You know you're in the right place when there's a line waiting for the restaurant to open. We were not disappointed. The decor is maybe basement speakeasy from the day. Our waitress was helpful, polite and a...More

This is typically a dinner stop for me but stopped in yesterday for a light lunch with friends. The dill soup is a must have.

The food is homemade. Very tasty and seasoned to your liking. Recommend the restaurant for people who used to live in Hamtramck and of course people that want to experience the polish food.

I have visited this restaurant with friends quite a few times, and have always been impressed with the food! I usually get the garlic chicken or city chicken with the mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, and dill pickle soup. The soup has a great flavor and is...More

The waitress was very rude, snappy answers, no smiles and slow. The coffee was very good. Utensils were dirty, the overall restaurant was dirty and cold. We sat under the vent that "Filthy Place-overrated" commented about. The vent was still caked with yuk. Except for...More

I am not sure if they take reservations. I was told there was more seating upstairs, but they were lined up outside the door the whole time we were there and there was a long wait. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
