On business, had lunch here 3 days in a row. Perfect service, and tried the $8 lunch specials each time and was very impressed. The sandwiches were great, complimented with great homemafe soups.

This place is one of the best kept secrets in town. The food and drinks are a bargain, especially during happy hour 3 to 6 p.m. which are served in both the bar area and the main dining room. The award winning chicken chili is the best I have ever tasted. We eat here several times each month and have... More
Always check out the special board or ask your server. Our party had the Prime Rib special and the Met Loaf special and items off the menu. Food quality is phenomenal. Best meatloaf I've had since mom's and what could be better than bacon wrapped! Service is fast, friendly and efficient. Great drinks. Fun place for locals and local wannabees.... More
Stopped in for a light dinner. I had the chicken curry soup, the wife had a sirloin steak. The soup was extremely bland, but the steak was very good. Waitress seemed preoccupied and unfriendly. Might go back for another try.
we stayed there for lunch. my wife had a patty melt that she liked. i had a flat iron steak that was pathetic. first, it was is the smallest steak i have seen, about 2x2 inches. second, it had no juice of flavor. a poor steak and good patty melt make the food average. curious how they got so high... We stopped in here after driving all day, and their menu is what I fondly call "up-scale" bar food. They have white-chicken-chili which was excellent, and we both had burgers, which were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. There seem to be lots of locals here having dinner, which is always a good sign, and it's right on the... More
Soups and Sammy's can't be beat in this home town restaurant. Cozy bar where the locals go for a quiet cold one. We go here at least a couple times a month for lunch or happy hour.
We were visiting our daughter and son-in-law who live in Holland. We are return customers to JW's for the Saturday night special of prime rib. The men both had (and finished) the 20 ounce prime rib. According to them, it was seasoned wonderfully and prepared medium rare as requested. We all had French onion soup which was tasty. Our server... More

Stopped in for lunch on a really rainy Saturday. They didn't have a hostess, so we waited about five minutes before we were acknowledged. Saw when we were sat (right away) that they had just served a party of 19, so the delay made sense. Had the fish sandwich (REALLY good) and the Au Jus (decent). Our daughter had the... More
