We ate here twice in two days and enjoyed it both times. They offered gluten free crêpes, which was a big factor due to 2/4 of us having gluten intolerance/celiac disease. We tried a variety between us, and only my son complained that his crêpe wasn't good, but he waited over an hour to eat his, which was definitely a factor (hot food sweating in a plastic bag for an hour+). The sweet crêpes are VERY sweet. Each order is made one at a time as ordered, so it can take a bit of a wait if there are others ahead of you. Huge menu of options! Inside of the shop is a bit rough, kind of a stage set of painted lumber to approximate a Paris street, hiding storage areas in the back, but it's cute enough. Friendly staff. Would return again.

Because they make the crepes to order, plan to wait a bit, especially if there is a line. We ordered one savory crepe (ham and cheese) and one sweet (banana, PB, and chocolate). They were both REALLY hot, so save your tongue and give it a minute before you take a bite. Both crepes were very tasty, the sweet one especially.

Hands-down best meal of our trip (and there’s A LOT of great food in Frankenmuth)!
My best friend & I ate here for breakfast on an extremely busy weekend & expected a bit of a wait. What we ate was worth every minute of that 35 mins!
The handmade crepe itself was the size of a large pizza. After being loaded with decadent toppings, it’s folded in fourths & put into a cone shaped wrapper.
The edges were crisp while the rest was airy. It left us full without feeling heavy & weighed down.

Experienced a couple years ago and remembered it fondly though it was a long wait, thought it was due to a big event.
Went with my family this week. Still very slow even though it was the middle of the week and the area didn't seem very busy. Don't expect it to be a quick stop. Figured that was OK as they make the crepes fresh for each one. Unfortunately they were not great, found it difficult to eat as they were very chewy and hard to bite through. Need a fork and knife to eat.

This place used to be good, but not now. Both our crepes were TOUGH. Probably be a good subsitute for my shoe soles......... If you are going to sell crepes, make sure your staff know how to cook them. Probably cooked far too long or use/make a good quality batter. Awful experience. Give this place a miss, there are other eateries in the area to choose from.

Our family stopped by La Crepe du Jour for lunch on July 7, 2022 during short visit to Frankenmuth Bavarian Village. It was a huge mistake! We would be better off getting a bite in some other place nearby. I don't know what kind of batter they used and how many days they kept it in the fridge but the crepes were absolutely tasteless and hard like a thin piece of wood. The fillings were good but it didn't save the overall taste of crepes. We ate few bites and rest went to garbage. Just terrible experience.
Not sure how they could manage to spoil such a simple thing as a crepe. I suggest folks from La Crepe du Jour kitchen just go online and take a simple crepe batter recipe from there. It's not a rocket science to make a fresh and soft crepe... Owners - feel free to contact me, I can provide my mom's and mom-in-law's recipes and I can assure you'll be able to make much better crepes.
I strongly suggest skipping La Crepe du Jour!

Was standing right outside but right now they wont let you in to order. Have to call order in and pay on phone with credit card and then they will text you and you can come in and pick up.
Flavor and fillings were good, but oh my gosh these were the toughest crepes we have ever had. They were like biting through rubber. For a place that specializes in crepes they really need to get better at the key components. Don't know if this was a fluke and they were just having a bad day making the batter or what but I don't think I would eat here again.

Omg!! This little place is AHHHHH-mazing, the staff were super friendly, and hardly a wait for our food which was so good I didn’t save any to bring home. The decor inside is so much fun I loved it. Outside eating on a perfect day. The menu had both sweet crepes and savory ones, plus lattes, teas, and lemonades. I want to go back and try them all.

We had the Bavarian and Rueben crepes. The portion size was large. I’m a guy , so when I Get a smaller portion, I feel short changed. Not here. They were folded in quarters to fit in a paper sleeve so you can eat on the run. I appreciated that. The cook was well expended making it.

Visited for the first time and was very impressed with Ashley who was preparing our crepes. We had the walking omelet and the veggie patch(with added feta) for start, both were fantastic. We enjoyed being able to watch and be amazed by the skill it took to create these wonderful crepes!
We also had the crepe of the day which was called Lemon Lush, made with lemon curd, cream cheese and sugar cookie!
This is definitely going to be on our regular to do list whenever we visit Frankenmuth!!

A little hidden gem! Amazing fresh made to order crepe's. Prices were great! $7.00 for a Banana Fosters Crepe which may I add was delicious! Warm and very tasteful. It was the best part of my weekend in Frankenmuth!

Excellent crêpes! I’ve had the good fortune of traveling in Europe and sampling crêpes in several countries including France, and these definitely compare.
They remind me of the fresh street crêpes I enjoyed in the old city of St. Malo on the coast of Brittany. Plus you get the satisfaction of watching them being made.
We will be back for sure!

This place had really been talked up as a 'destination' place to eat in Frankenmuth, MI. Maybe our expectations were too high but we were not impressed. The crepes were 'just okay'. Nothing that we would make a trip back to go eat here. The gals working in the cafe were very pleasant and nice and helpful. We just didn't really care for what we had to eat. We had a brown-sugar and cinnamon as well as a cold-cut crepe.

Stopped in planning to eat. They only offer to go. There is no place to eat I side order out so we ended up leaving.
Their website says they are open for indoor dining. The staff said that they are having trouble updating their website.
Big disappointment all the way around.
