If you like perch, this is the best place to go. I have never had better perch anywhere else. $15 for perch, bake potato/french fries, coleslaw, baked beans and a dinner roll. Fish is breaded perfectly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

So last weekend we were jonesing for a fresh place to eat in Escanaba, and my little girl suggested we go to 'the white castle', which is what she always called the house of ludington. It had been several years since we ate there for...More
Great Friday night fish fry. Very friendly staff. Wonderful, historic ambiance. Pub style dining and an elegant dining room as well. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
We had a won dreadful dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. Great fresh whitefish. Salad with strawberries was outstanding. Good wine selection and healthy portions.

House of Ludington has a fantastic fish fry, YUM. Also the strawberry salad is very good. Bruschetta appetizer is tasty too. Atmosphere is pretty cool, they have a nice patio outside too.

I only ate there one time, several years ago. The service was just ok.... we both ordered Filets and it is pretty hard to mess up a RARE steak but they did.... they were closer to well done. I never went back.
House of Ludington - a 149 year old hotel and restaurant. We stayed in Escanaba but our accommodations were elsewhere - however, TripAdvisor gave their restaurant good marks. We shared onion rings as an appetizer. The breading was too thick and therefore far from crispy....More
