This food was fabulous. The braised ribs were the best I have ever had. Slow cooked and fall off the bone goodness. Try the seafood combo with shrimps, big fat scallops, and catfish. I only wish I had been brace enough to try the alligator and frog. This was the best Jambalaya outside of New Orleans!

This iconic restaurant is located inside Greek Town in the newly renovated and developed down town Detroit. It used to be the place for sea food. It is conveniently tucked between historic Monroe street and Atheneum Suite Hotel overlooking what used to be a beautiful 50-feet tall water fountain. However, upon visiting the restaurant I was shocked to know that... More

There's not too many places a person can get good jambalaya and fresh raw oysters in downtown Detroit but Fishbones is the place to go. The space is fun and very New Orleans-like. All the food I've had there has been good. One of the best things is that each table has 8-10 different hot sauces to try.

All ways a great place to eat. I got sushi and it was good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was low key when we went. Not too loud and you could have a conversation with your table.

I walked from a hotel on Gratiot to Fishbones while it was sprinkling today because I had such a yen for seafood. I ordered the seafood gumbo and it was very flavorful. The consistency was like a bad homemade lumpy gelatinous gravy. (really). I, also, ordered the Southern Fried Catfish because my craving for fish was huge. Having lived in... More

Fish bones is located in downtown across from the Greektown Casino. Atmosphere is cool with a fun New Orleans vibe. I had fish and my friend had steak both were great. Service was quick and attentive and they were busy on this Saturday night with people from the casino and Red Wings fans going to a game. They bring bread... More

We were a party of eight for dinner on a Redwings game night so the place was packed. We were seated immediately since we had reservations but the service was a little slow from then on. We ordered appetizers first and they were very good and fairly prompt. The tempura vegetables were great. We were finally able to order our... More

Service was great. Food was good, although a tad pricey. Nice selection of craft beer. Evidently a good place to go if you're attending a concert downtown. Place was full of those going to the Bon Jovi concert the night we were there.

Was there Saturday night with a table of 6. Both mine, and my husband's meal were practically unedible. My crawfish etouffee had little crawfish, and was in a gluey white sauce. My husband had a seafood sandwich that was more batter than anything. He couldn't eat it. Used to be good - it's really gone downhill.
