Not bad for a new restaurant in Detroit The food is pretty good the services OK paperwork on the menu just a little bit give it a little more down-home feeling flavor. Sometimes when restaurants come to an area they kind of forget the history of the area and the people who live there
I do love the Hudson Cafe for breakfast. It's close to the hotel (a 5 minute walk), always clean, bright and cheerful. The food is always fresh and they do have some of the best chicken and waffles in town. I will be returning!
Even tho I got a ticket parking across the street and I knew I could park there, I'll still come back. My sis always orders the chicken and waffles and I get eggs with a bunch of sides. Its very good. Good atmosphere and great location. Parking sucks but so do most downtown spots.
I've been here a few times and honestly, ( ya, I know that means I may not be being completely honest but I am) the food is really great. Have to speak up if you want to be heard and the waitstaff is very attentive as well.
The corned beef hash was fantastic!!!! And, our server was exceptional (ask for Caleb). If you are a breakfast person, you will not be disappointed
The Hudson Cafe has great portions for breakfast. The omelettes were huge, fluffy and packed with various ingredients depending on what you order. The toast was also good. Arrive early, as it's always packed. The wait is well worth it.

We were in Detroit for a meeting and wanted to try some place new for lunch. The Hudson cafe has breakfast & lunch items on the menu- all familiar items with a twist. We went for two things we wouldn't normally order- a chicken parmigiana omelette and the graham cracker French toast. Both were delicious. The omelette was huge, fluffy... More
