We went for the holiday dinner and what fun! The entire evening was a treat. Even accomodated special requests for vegeterian meals. There more than enough food shared family style. The entertainment was a blast. Sit near the fireplace for added charm.

This was our second visit to the Eagle Tavern, and this time around we were disappointed. The soup was lukewarm and the ginger cake for dessert was drier than the Mojave Desert on a dry day. The entertainment is always delightful, and the Christmas festivities...More

We attended the Holiday Nights Dinner event. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience. First of all, the menu wasn't exactly the same as advertised on the website. The evening was advertised to start with smoked fish spread and crackers, but we received cheese and...More

Highly recommend for a fun, historical evening. The food was great but the innkeeper and other staff were amazing. They made our activity wonderful. Planning was easy, great to work with activity staff. This was a very memorable evening as an interactive walk back in...More

I went to the Eagle Tavern with my family and it was so delightful! It has a simple menu with food that was popular during Henry Ford's lifetime. Freshly prepared and some ingredients are grown right there at the village. You get to sit with...More

Greenfield village transports you back in time. People in period clothes, sites, demonstrations, and so on. And, in addition to the cafeteria style restaurant, is Eagle Tavern, a historical restaurant serving period food - and the food is outstanding! Get there a little early and...More

We've been annual members of The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village for years. Eagle Tavern was frequently a part of special nights closing out a day at the muster, old cars or holiday nights festival. However, our last three visits have all been disappointing. Pricey...More

Wonderful service by costumed servers. Authentic historic recipes. We were there on a cold snowy day and the soup and hot cider hit the spot.

Travel back to the 1850's for a dining experience you will never forget. All foods locally sourced and prepared as if it was the 1850"s.

Tables are shared with other "travelers" and it is a dark area. There were four of us, two adults and under 18. We were given four mini muffins to start- two blueberry and two corn (in cute crockware) with fresh butter and strawberry preserves. We...More

You must pay admission to Greenfield Village to dine at the Eagle Tavern. It is well worth the admission price to eat and tour the village.

We were told it means ditto and the places were the same as the stated one above; apparently it was used a lot in the 1840's the time period the restaurant is modeled after.
