The atmosphere was a bit like a diner I expected a bit more fine dining type however the food was excellent I'm not a big fan of hummus but their's was very good I enjoyed it. Also the tabouli was some of the best that I've had. When it came to the grilled lamb kebab I expected vegetables with it... More

We, my daughter and I and a co-worker decided on Al Ameer in Dearborn, Michigan. We were in Dearborn on business. My co-worker is vegetarian, and my daughter really wanted Hummus. The portions were large and one meal came with two sides. We had a great deal of food and left with a doggie bag for a snack later. Our waiter... More

Been going here for years. It's ok, but certainly not the best in Dearborn as many here claim. Food is good, but service is spotty at best, downright rude at worst. I've given this place many tries, hoping it is better, but it is never that good.

In a region with many great Middle Eastern restaurants, Al Ameer is the best. Kabobs are good but falafal and fatoosh is great. Hummus is smooth and tasty. Platters are amazing value. Lentil soup is excellent as well.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Al Ameer, sampling a variety of meats and salads from their Al Ameer platter for two. All were uniformly excellent — probably the best of its type I've had in America. Were it not for the amazing food I've had while travelling in Israel and Jordan the restaurant would have received an even higher... More

I have been in this place a few times before but was disappointed in my last April visit. The Chicken Kafta Kabob dinner was presented in a very unappetizing plate with 3 skewers of chicken and plain tasteless white rice, and a side chopped salad. The $17 cost ($20 something with a cup of hot tea that was never warmed... More

The falafels were amazing. Seriously. Really good. We only ordered that, garlic dip, fatoosh and soup. Everything we had was really good. However while the server was so sweet, she was not very capable. She messed up our order and when we asked her to split the bill (our fault for not asking her beforehand), she charged one credit card... More

Whether you go in the afternoon for lunch or evening for dinner you can always count on a good meal. The food is fresh , desserts are prepared daily. Though the evenings are usually busy the staff is friendly and attentive. It seems to be patronized mostly by the locals which is a good sign because they have very discriminating... More

Have had this place recommended by a few people, and now we know why. Went on a Sunday afternoon and were sat immediately upon arriving. We were quickly greeted by a friendly efficient server. We went with the chicken shawarma plate and the moujadara (lentil) plate, with lentil soup and spinach salad. Our food came very quickly and it was... More

Went with many friends. Everybody tried a little sample of every dish. Fabulous meals! I had mujadra - bulgar wheat and carmelized onions. So savory for a vegetarian dish!!

Thank Annette J
