When we arrived they were very busy and we had to wait for about 20 minutes. They suggested we go to the bar, or to the gift stores across the street which we did. They "rang" us and we returned to be seated. The food...More

We love to come to the Legs Inn. When we venture north to drive M119, this is a location we always aim for. We had lunch here, and it was lovely as always. The back covered porch is a beautiful setting. They even have a...More

Wonderful Polish ambience inside and outside with polkas being broadcasted. There were beautiful wood carvings inside. Waitresses were from Poland. The food was good but nothing is as good as my mom's polish cooking. This is definitely a must see and so glad to make...More

We enjoyed an evening meal at Legs. Interesting place to eat! We ate outside. There is a covered patio and an outdoor garden where you can choose to eat. The meals, of courses, are Polish, though American entrees are available. The prices are reasonable for...More

We visited this out-of-the-way spot Tuesday for lunch. Arriving about 12:30 we had waits both to sign up with the hostess and to get a first available table. We passed the wait time pleasantly by admiring the quirky unique decorations and furniture made from roots...More

Dinner entrees range from $17-24, more for market price fish.$5.50 for a glass of draft beer. A little pricey for my taste, but a special place.

*** LEGS INN IS NOW OPEN THROUGH SUN OCTOBER 22, 2017 *** Located in historic Cross Village, Michigan, Legs Inn is a "monument to nature." Built on a high bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, it is unique and mysterious as seen in its architecture and decor. The fantasy-like atmosphere of this medieval looking stone, timber and driftwood landmark was created by one man, Polish immigrant, Stanley Smolak. He fell in love with Northern Michigan and its people, many of them Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and decided to settle in Cross Village in 1921.A blend of Old World European and Indian cultures creates a memorable atmosphere. The entry foyer, tavern, game and dining rooms are all filled with an intriguing collection of nature and hand carved furniture -- whimsical creations made of tree stumps, twisted limbs and roots, driftwood sculptures and massive fieldstone fireplaces.Authentic Polish cuisine is our specialty, but delicious American dishes, including local fresh Whitefish, are also served. The Smolak family and staff are dedicated to making your visit to Legs Inn an unforgettable experience, which will have you returning often with family and friends throughout the years.Throughout the decades Legs Inn has become a famous family destination and restaurant. It has been acknowledged and praised by major magazines, TV broadcasters, newspapers, travel-related web sites, tour guides and guests from across the country and around the world. We look forward to your visit.
