It was a lovely Fall day, a bit crisp but sunny. We were out for a ride and came up to the Salem Cross Inn. We had been there years ago, but decided to try it again. We arrived at 3 pm, just between a bus tour and another large group and dinner. We had a delicious meal with great... More

Thanksgiving dinner at Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield was lovely. Good food and service made it an enjoyable experience for me and my family. We arrived for our 3:00 PM reservation and had only a short wait even though the restaurant was very busy. In fact, sold out. The Inn is a large, restored 18th century farm house with... More

Rustic atmosphere. Great food. I've only been here for holiday dinners but it is always good. Reservation system is organized. Reserve 2 months in advance on holidays. They sell out.

I've been to the Fireside Feast several times. Lots of fun and plenty of food. Get there early if you'd like a seat downstairs where you wait and watch them cook your dinner. Sleighrides and hot cider to warm you while you wait. Take a turn cooking the clam chowder in the caldron or help to make the apple cobbler... More

This restaurant serves a good meal at reasonable prices. We were advised by the wait staff that the vegetables are grown on site during season and locally sourced as much as possible. My wife had the roast duck which was moist, tender and not greasy. I had a lobster out of the shell with drawn butter. The building was historically... More

My friends and I took the long drive down country roads to arrive at this restaurant. On a positive note, the grounds were beautiful and so was the historic restaurant and inn. My friends and I sat at a reserved table at the back near a window overlooking the fields. There was even a wedding reception going on at the... More

Was on a Tauck tour and only had lunch here. Beef prime rib was tender but tasteless and the apple pie was sweet and sugary.

We visited here last week whilst on a Tauck Tours journey through New England. Like a previous reviewer we had great expectations as our tour guide also gave it a great review. We were in no way disappointed. We had a set menu which include absolutely delicious beef roasted over an open fire. The Apple Pie was a delight. Given... More

I had dinner here with a tour group, and our tour guide kept raving about how fantastic our dinner was going to be. She over sold it a little. The dinner was just OK - nothing to rave about. They specialize in prime rib cooked on spits over an open fire. The portions we received were small along with two... More

Relatives up from Virginia and Florida and three birthdays within past three weeks turned into a delicious Sunday dinner for all. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and was probably the best tasting filet I have ever had. Delicious vegetables and fantastic rolls and sticky buns were perfect. Cousin said his Prime Roast Beef was also excellent. The girls... More
