Very nice and historic tavern on the beach. Ate lunch there two times. Clam chowder was the best. Wait staff was friendly. Close to our BandB and very convenient.

Enjoyed a very good lunch at the Black Dog Tavern. Probably the hottest tourist destination of all the restaurants in Vineyard Haven but they deliver on quality and good, efficient service.

The view is great. The service was good. The swordfish was also very good. However, the tuna was stringy. Also, the chowder is only average (a real disappointment after reading other reviews). Much better chowder at the Fish Monger in Woods Hole.
We enjoyed a very good breakfast this past weekend. The house made sausage was very tasty and great quality but I ended up adding a little salt to it. The fish cake eggs Benedict was tremendous. Would definitely recommend the tavern. The view of Vineyard...More
