Redbones can get crowded, but it's often possible to get a seat at the bar, even if there aren't tables available. This is the best seat in the house, anyway, because it overlooks the kitchen! Brisket is good, but not great. Ribs are excellent, as is the slaw. Overall a great place to grab a laid back, delicious, and decently-priced... More

Nothing wrong with the setting. From the outside or the inside, this place looks and feels like a classic barbecue joint in KC, or Tuscaloosa, AL, or Taylor, TX. And some of the food is pretty good too. The pulled porks sandwich I had was full of flavourful smoked pork, and the sauces are pretty good too (though the sweet... More

I lived in Davis Square about the time that Redbone's came into existence: 1980s. At that time there was a noticeable divide between the "regulars" who hung out at the bar and those that were merely coming in to eat. I mean, you'd hang out in the bar waiting for a table and you felt like an intruder. Somewhere along... More

We have been to Redbones before and we were eager to eat here again and we were not disappointed. The ribs here are amazing!! On this visit we tried the Memphis ribs and the Texas beef ribs and both choices were fantastic. The ribs are full of flavour and plentiful and the sides are a great addition. I absolutely love... We have been to Red Bones several times just this last time the food took a very long time. After speaking to the bar tender. She sent over assistant manager and the handled the situation excellently. The bar tender was excellent and always have great time at redbones.. The food is always excellent.

This is be coolest and best BBQ joint in Boston area. The bar has the BEST BEER SELECTION of any other brewery in town . The buffalo grilled wings are some of the best you'll find. The rest of the menu is above average for its quality. The downstairs is darker and offers a cool chill vibe ! The maim... More

Stopped in for lunch, ordered the fried pickles and jalapeños app. They were sliced thin and served nice and crispy, and surprisingly not to spicy hot! Had the veggie burger which was homemade with mushroom and salsa, not like the usual pre made black bean burger at other restaurants. Also had the pulled pork sandwich with crispy thin fries. Recommend... More

We had multiple unfortunate events on this visit so before I babble on, for quick reference I highly recommend the catfish sandwich, and a local friend highly recommends the texas beef ribs ... when available. Also, they have an excellent drink menu, including the best cider options I saw during this visit which is what I drink. So after ordering,... More

The food and the overall vibe here is very casual and southern-cool. It's an original place -- not a bit of chain-food about it. You get yummy old-school southern food -- piles of barbecue or ribs, and sides like cornbread or collard greens or baked beans. They have a lot of good craft brew type beers. Sometimes there are parents... More

We ordered Redbones takeout delivered to our VRBO in Summerville, just outside of Boston. I am not usually a fan of this fare, but the ribs (St. Louis Style) were delicious. We ordered the dinner for 4 to feed our family and we're not disappointed. We even have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! My only complaint is that they forgot to... More
