The Captain Linnell House was at its best for the Thanksgiving holiday dinner. Members of the front of the house were very welcoming and efficient. Once seated, our server, Jana, took excellent are of us. She was never intrusive but always available when needed. What is amazing is how the restaurant can seat so many for a holiday and produce... We had a fabulous meal in lovely surroundings for Thanksgiving. Special thank you to the staff for working on a holiday and making us feel so welcome. Food was just fabulous and we even had left-overs to take home! Each person in our party of 4 had a different dessert and all were excellent. Great atmosphere, food, and staff! Thank... More

We just returned from a lovely thanksgiving dinner. Dave our waiter was very sweet. It is a sacrifice to work on a holiday. We had a great chat with the chef's wife after dinner. The chowder and crab cake were in our top 5 best ever. The sauce on the crab cake was lemony, creamy and light. Chowder was from... More

We dined at the Captain Linnell House on a recent trip to Cape Cod. Seeing the home itself was worth the 30 minute drive from Dennisport. There was a $35 prix fixe menu that was quite varied. We thoroughly enjoyed our blue martinis and the prime rib was excellent. Desserts were wonderful and the service impeccable. We highly recommend the... More

We have eaten a number times at Captain Linnell House during our visits to the Cape. We have never been disappointed however this time everything was fantastic. Decided to go with the Prix Fixe. Started with outstanding cup of clam chowder, followed by Black Angus prime rib with garlic and peppercorn crusted, served with a rich veal stock reduction, mashed... More

I love the ambiance of Historic Homes restored and in this case used as a restaurant. I wish they had more historic areas to see and more about the history of the place. There is a nod toward historic restoration but not completely. Service is white tablecloth excellent. We had prime rib and sirloin, really top quality and perfectly done.... More

The food was very good and service was adequate. The ground and restaurant themselves are quite nice as well. However, every main course came with the same side dish. And the weird thing is that it felt like a senior citizen home. Now I don't know if it was due to the day we went, but all the other customers... More

Me, my wife and two of our closest friends went to the Captain Linnell House for dinner for the first time.. When we first pulled up to the restaurant we could not believe how beautiful the landscaping was all around the building. This was by far secondary to the service and food that we ordered. All of our entrees were... More
