3 sandwiches drinks soda we were told chips came with our sandwiches I expected potato chips and got a handful of tortilla chips. My roast beef sandwich had zero taste, another buffalo wrap was so hot my daughter couldn't eat it, lips were burning, but worst mistake was not eating it outside, this place inside was the dirtiest place I've... Had a wonderful chicken salad wrap but two sandwiches were $30.00- two drinks & a bag of chips. Great little cafe just very pricey- however everything is freah.

The vegetarian chili was pretty good. The black bean lime rice bowl was terrible, like leftovers with a poor acid balance. The veggie rice bowl was overwhelmed with onions, and was very sweet. We are lacto-ovo vegetarians, and make far better rice bowls at home with minimal effort.

Vegans and vegetarians will love the variety of food. Everything was good, and they gave you plenty of food, served with tortilla chips. Nice outdoor sitting area.

This place is wonderful! I often get lunch here, when I can find parking. The hearthstone ham sandwich is to die for! And they have awesome BBQ pulled pork on special sometimes. Totally worth getting when available! Their vegetarian chili is also awesome, it has a ton of flavor and tastes wonderfully homemade. Great lunch spot, and in the summer... More

Four of us met for lunch there recently, two of them are vegetarians. We were all pleased with the diversity of menu items. The portions were just right and flavors were good. My friends had various rice bowls and I had a salad. Theirs looked better and more creative. My spinach salad was okay but had so much chicken on... More

I usually visit Newburyport in Spring and Summer. It was my first time ever being there in November. Since our purpose to be there was to shop, I suggested I Suggested a quick lunch at the Purple Onion for I had been there before for salads and wraps. The day was dank, so a bowl of soup was in order.... More

We enjoyed a slice of quiche and a yummy salad for lunch on our last day in Newburyport. It's located in a town square surrounded by shops and near a parking lot. Nothing fancy and no wait service. Prices were excellent.

Bopping around town with a friend, and stopped here for lunch. LOVED the black bean and lime bowl, topped with chicken. She had an arugula salad with chicken, pears, and gorgonzola. We both finished our lunches, down to the plate. Super tasty, and (seemed) super healthy. Sat outside and watched the world go by. I'd definitely stop here again when... More
